I had guests coming at 12 noon so I was glad to have found a place that was open by 11:30am. Placed the order on phone for pickup which was tough as she barely spoke English. Arrived and paid with eight $5 bills fresh from ATM because she requested "cash only". This lady spent about 45 seconds inspecting each bill to ensure they weren't fake (not kidding). You probably will not get this treatment if you are a white person though. This delay made me late and pretty mad. The Chinese food was not great but I can understand that because they specialize in all kinds of food including pancakes and hot dogs.

I only give this 3 stars because the decor could really use an update! But the server was a delight and the breakfast was delicious and the Chinese food was great!

Our go-to for breakfast and tastes like a home cooked meal. Fantastic owners and prices are decent.

An excellent little spot for some simple but delicious Chinese food. The wonton soup looked and tasted like home made. Beef and broccoli was great. Bright green broccoli; still a little crisp. Sweet & sour pork was moist with a slight crunch on the outside. Chicken chow-mein was substantial with lots of cabbage, carrots & onions. Needless to say, we will happily go back cause there's more to try and we hear they make a mean breakfast. Service was friendly and quick too.

Delicious breakfast with coffee for a very unbeatable price. The beef tomato on steam rice was so delicious and perfect for a lunch meal too. The picture is the most recent gem I discovered, the Salisbury steak. Very nice and quiet place to enjoy a morning meal. Sometimes other tables talk to each other to make things feel very warm and welcoming.

I just ate Chinese food at Quan's for the first time and I must say "It was delicious!" and with some of the lowest prices in Maple Ridge too! I have lots of positive things to say, but one thing you should know is that the Chinese menu options are very limited. Because I eat breakfast here all the time, I knew this going in and warned my family as such. But I also knew that the menu had many of the items that most people order. We went in on Wednesday night and it was not that busy at all. My son and I both had cravings for something that was not on the menu and much to our delight, chef Peter was happy to oblige us (I think in part because it was not busy and maybe also because I am a regular here for breakfast. So … if they can not make for you what they just made for us - please don’t get mad at Quan's or at me!) So anyway, we ordered Special Chow Mein with crispy noodles (not on the menu), Honey Garlic Pork (not on the menu), Sweet & Sour Chicken Balls and Deep Fried Prawns. WE LOVED the Chow Mein! It was perfectly crispy, the vegetables were cooked just right, and the meat was very tender! The Honey Garlic Pork was also excellent! The thing we all noticed about this pork is that it was juicy and tender! And that is no exaggeration and I am sure you know this is rare to find in a Chinese restaurant. Usually pork bites like this are all dried out and taste like they have been around for way too long. N0 - this pork was a delight. Peter obviously whipped up the honey garlic sauce for us on the spot. It was a little different than what we are used to - but it was pure minced garlic cooked in honey. That's it. So it was natural, sweet and delicious. The batter on both of our fried dishes could have been cooked a little longer. But it was much lighter and less doughy than the local Chinese restaurants around them. And that is a good thing indeed! The sweet and sour sauce was not the thick and gelatinous kind. It was thinner and less sweet. For us, that was also a good thing. You might think differently. Finally, I would say that the portion sizes were not huge by any stretch of the imagination. But the quality of our food was really good and Quan's low prices made the portion size a great value. I would recommend you check Quan’s out for yourself and don’t let their small menu scare you off. Janet, the chef's wife, is very friendly and really aims to please her customers. She recommended we try Peter's Dry Garlic Pork and Beef in Black Bean sauce! We will do Janet. A friend of mine, who also has never eaten here before, ate here on Thursday night with his daughter. They also very much enjoyed their meal, and said the Beef with Broccoli was excellent. The beef was very tender! BREAKFAST REVIEW: A friend of mine and I have breakfast here almost once every week. Honestly, it is consistently fantastic. And it's an amazing bargain at only $4.99 for two eggs, 3 sausages, 2 toast and hash browns. Our bill for two including coffee and a generous tip is only $18. I have paid MUCH more for breakfast and never been as satisfied. This restaurant is run by chef Peter and his wife Janet and they really do a great job! Both me and my friend love their sausages which are always well cooked with good color! Peter mashes his hash browns down nice and thin and gets a good crispy fry on both sides of his hash browns. The bread is cheaper than I would like, and the coffee weaker than I would prefer, but hey, seriously, I would never complain because, after all, it is a $4.99 breakfast. And the coffee refills are free. I have not eaten Chinese Food here but Janet was telling me recently that Peter does an excellent job at cooking Chinese food as well and that they have regular customers that come in from Coquitlam because they like Peters food better. I intend on finding out for myself very soon! Anyway, I just wanted to write Quan's a review because I really think they deserve the credit for consistently providing a great breakfast at an amazing price and always with a laugh and a smile!

Took our friend for lunch here for her birthday. She had a hamburger, my husband had a Chinese food combo and I had Wor Wonton. It was delicious and very filling. The person that served us treated us more like guests in her home.
