★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Seems like a really nice grocery store until you try shopping here for a few items. The problem is it's always so ridiculously slow to try and checkout. Every time I have been here the store is almost empty of customers and yet there's always a long, painfully slow line up at the checkout. What exactly is the problem Quality Foods? I don't get it. Does management not care about customers? Do you ever wonder why not many people seem to shop here? I tried to shop here because its a good location for me but I finally gave up and don't bother go back. Its terrible service. Seriously, management needs to get it together and either fix the checkout aisle problem or sell the store and turn it into a Thrifty's please, so I can shop here in a timely manner. thank you

I bought a bonsai pussywillow tree that was potted and about 1.5 ft high for $20.
The cashier lady was cheerful, kind and professional.
The store was very clean and well organized.
I used to work for a food chain for many years, so I look for these things.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately the lack of employees hit them on 4 30 2022 they only had two cashiers on. They were doing their best but the line's were very long. they have good quality food pick your battles. Plan for line time

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Waited 20 minutes to get checked out. That, I don’t mind doing, and that is not why I’m complaining. I’m complaining because a lot of the cashiers quit so there was only one on the floor. And why did they quit? Because Quality Food only pays minimum wage. We live in Victoria, one of the most expensive places in Canada. I moved provinces in February (I’m here visiting) because it got too expensive to live here, and I made more than double minimum wage! You guys can afford to pay more than minimum wage, you’re a chain! Mass employees quitting shouldn’t have even been an issue to begin with if you could have kept up with the wage necessary to retain them. This is ridiculous!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love going to the Quality Foods Upstairs cafe with my clients. Yuko, the manager of the cafe, is such a delightful and hard working person. She always treats us with kindness, respect and she has a great sense of humour! Not to mention, she makes a wonderful cup of coffee. We are all so grateful for her!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very clean and well lit. The staff are friendly as well. Good selection of food, wife loves the vegetables and fresh fruits. It is definitely more expensive to shop here rather than Walmart or superstore but there is also less traffic and more on the shelves. Plus the have macaroons at the bakery and the hot foods look really nice too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Positive: breakfast is cheaper than Denny's, lots of meal deals daily, place is clean and location is easy to find. Lots of free parking and staff are good.
Place serve cheap but good Chinese food.
If downstairs is too noisy, you can head upstairs for more privacy and better seats.
Food for thought: Located inside the grocery store, so it's easy to eat and shop after.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I liked all the options, however very expensive compared to both thrifty's and Walmart. Their tea selection is epic, and nice to see gf pretzels. The produce section is also very nice.
