★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My absolute Favorite grocery store. The staff goes above and beyond. They actually found a product for me that I had been looking all over for and ordered it in for me. They are always willing to help and everyone is so nice. The selection is amazing and the prices are reasonable. I LOVE their bakery selections and everything they have to offer. If I could give them 10 stars I would, and that's saying a lot! Keep up the great work guys. I wish all the stores I shopped at treat the customers with appreciation and dignity like your store does. Seriously 100% LOVE this store.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This store robs customers when it comes to their cheesecakes. They sell them by the slice and charge the same price for each slice ($6.49) when in fact each slice weighs differently. I have been buying their cheesecakes by the slice for many years and have been noticing some inconsistencies with the sizes. However, I would have never imagined the difference to be this huge. I picked up 2 slices of the same cheesecake on March 8. Walking to the car I felt the difference in their weight and upon returning home I immediately weighted them. One of the slices was 124 grams smaller than the other slice! That’s more than 1/3 smaller! And sold at the same price! I emailed the store immediately attaching videos of myself weighing the slices and shared my frustration. I asked to start selling the cheesecake slices by weight not slice. It has been over 7 days and I have not received a response. I do not feel like I have a desire to come back. I’d rather get baked goods at Thrifty foods now then support a business that cheats on weight of their goods and steals from their customers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I only come here for the cheesecake, which I believe is made in-store. The Market has some of the best cheesecake on the south island, and it's worth noting that a piece can easily be shared by 2 people, because it's so rich and dense.

I paid 22 dollars for chicken at superstore and found the same amount for 12 at market. ( on sale)
The pre-made sandwiches buns or bagels are delicious no matter what time of day night you shop.
Not stale or soggy.
