â â â â â A little bit on the expensive side. 3 cones for 19$ for a single scoop. Not a lot of flavours to choose from but the ice cream they have is very good. Would definitely recommend it.

â â â â â Good location, and friendly staff. My only problem with Purdy's in general is their chocolates being a bit hit or miss. I've absolutely loved some and been repulsed by others. Don't know if it's just flavor or quality control or what, but considering the higher price, it can be annoying when you get something unpleasant.

â â â â â Imagine my surprise and joy when I saw a Purdy's in Ottawa after thinking they were only a Vancouver thing.
I just knew I had to get an ice cream cone! I got the chocolate ice cream with almond topping and it was so good. Ice cream is always a good idea and even more so if it's from Purdy's.
Service was great and I got to eat in the mall in the corner due to covid.

â â â â â Really love the chocolate here and thatâs why I left Laura Secord however the customer service at this one is hit and miss. Occasionally friendly. If not rude though, simply not paying attention to customers. I didnât see any almost-perfects (discounted but still FABULOUS chocolate) out so I asked And the young lady behind the counter handed me the only pack in the store. GREAT! But I didnât know what Haystacks were, so I asked, to which she said âTheyâre almond and toffeeâ which sounds delicious but then I asked âOu, are they good?â and she kinda sarcastically said âWell If you like almonds and toffee..yeah?â..not really the answer I was looking for but itâs okay. Not like Iâve tried every single chocolate type here but whatever. Only reason giving a 4-star and not a 3 is because this is ACTUALLY the best chocolate.
Anyway, might keep coming back sadly because I live in Orleans but maybe hire friendlier staff for weekends.

â â â â â I love Purdyâs chocolates, but this shop doesnât live up to the brand. The selection is very hit and miss and the staff are neither attentive nor overly friendly. Better to eat the shipping cost and buy online.
