I met joule in 2019 in leasing office and I found she is very dedicated and hard working and problem solving girl , she is very good at her work and I never face any problems when she is there in leasing office and she is always reply me back if I had any concerns. I wish she will always there to show true hospitality to the residents. She is an asset for boardwalk and I’m really impressed with her positive attitude and work.

Moved into the building in April 2021. The building is very clean and well maintained. Jewel was very accommodating and friendly. She made the move effortless and stress free. The maintenance crew is also very friendly and very efficient with fixing any problems. I have been recommending this property to many people already. Thanks again!

I cannot say more good things about the team at Prominince Place. Jewel, Jolene, Richard and team are amazing! They were a huge part of our decision to move into the building and they continue to be a huge part of the reason we are happy here. The building is older, and it has its quirks, but when you have a team like this in the building, you can easily see past anything annoying. If anything does need to be addressed, the team gets it taken care of asap. Thank you, Boardwalk for assembling such a great team!

Cannot express enough about the effort from the staff that’s why I’m giving the 5 stars. I’ve been here for almost 3 years and any issue I’ve had has been dealt with in a way where I feel valued, respected and heard… There are places where you will get shrugged off and thrown to the side. but not here. Jolene, Richard and Jewels and the security guard Matthew have been amazing. My pipe bursted about a year ago and Richard made sure everything was good and the repairs were super quick and easy. Anytime I’ve seen him around he’s always been so friendly! Jolene and Jewels has gone above and beyond to make sure I feel comfortable and safe given a unfortunate event out anyones control… Matthew the security guard was super helpful and helped me out when my vehicle had been damaged… Can’t thank him enough for the support ext. The only downside is being downtown and the crime rate has gone up drastically … Always lock your vehicles and do not leave anything in there even if it’s for an hour… Personal experience lol… otherwise you’ll be fine. The thing I appreciate is that they are vocal about the parking situation and will give you options… It’s truthfully been a blessing being here and seeing how the team works together to make it home. Even through the tough times! Everyone has pulled their part. The suites are cozy and a decent size. The building has gone through renovations so some suites are more modern while others are a bit older. The area is super beautiful during the day and your right off Jasper Ave with all the amenities. If you enjoy going for walks you’re super close to different parks. You see families walking around and you have a water park right across the street. It’s a quiet area for the most part. Once again! 10/10 for the staff.

Was told that boardwalk will not rent to people with service dogs (which I have an Alberta government ID for them stating they're a service dog) in non dog buildings. That is highly illegal! Boardwalk needs to get their stuff together and not break the law. The lady who did my viewing seemed apologetic and was able to get me a viewing at a location basically across the street and that lady seemed to understand I can rent at any building/ not pay a pet fee with a qualified service dog. I am not upset with the ladies but im extremely mad with boardwalk as a company.

I’m posting this publicly because nothing motivates a big corporation like a PR problem. Jolene was excellent. As a tenant, I strongly believe that Boardwalk should give her some sort of compensation for all the good work she does. While we lived at Prominence Place, the fire alarm was only rung a handful of times, but Jolene was always on the ground talking to the firefighters and keeping calm (no one was hurt in case you were wondering). Boardwalk itself, frankly, could use some improvement. Out of the new places we went to for viewings, the majority of the people who showed us were rather pushy, and did a lot of unnecessary things to appear professional (Jolene was NOT among these individuals). To be clear, it is the procedure and training that these people receive that I found uncomfortable, and I do not in any way blame the individual managers (they are literally just doing their jobs). I know it is the procedure because they all did very similar things to win us over, when (in my opinion) the properties should speak for themselves. If you want to make a profit, own properties that are worth the money. My point is, the company itself I am not the biggest fan of, but Jolene was an excellent and professional manager - she was genuine & did not push us, she was honest and understanding in every situation we had with her. She should be awarded some type of pay raise or compensation because her level of commitment and hard work is far more than boardwalk deserves. Again, I’m just a tenant, but in my opinion, she carried the entire company’s reputation on her back and could very easily be recruited by another company for her outstanding job. She deserves better, and it might not be soon, but in some method she will find better (or better will find her). You can wait for that, or you can make an effort to keep her. I also want to note that all the building staff, including the staff of the properties we viewed, should NOT in ANY WAY be punished for executing a procedure which YOU taught them. The solution to a problem of this type is not the firing and rehiring of new employees who will simply regurgitate the problem, but a systemic examination and intervention into the training and professional advice given by Boardwalk to its employees. I gave this place high scores because the company will likely punish those at the bottom of the hierarchy for low scores (and reward those at the top for high ones) but I want to stress that, as a now ex-customer: treat your workers better or someone else will. Without them, you are on a sinking ship - you are maintaining a precarious and cracking facade.

Lived in there for two years. You pay premium prices for small suites (location, location, location). During my time there, my car was broken into and damaged multiple times due to the higher crime rates downtown. The building was advertised to me as an adult only building, but there are screaming children and it wasn't uncommon for them to be heard through my walls while trying to sleep or work. Also had a family above my parking stall whose kids would drop things into my car, scratching the paint. Maintenance would only ever half finish tasks and then mark them as complete, making me have to pester management if I wanted things to actually get done. The suites get extremely hot in the summer (~30°), and the electrical outlets can't handle the power required by air conditioners, so be prepared to overheat in the summer. Water shutoffs in the building were very frequent, and a lot of the time you would be told to not use your water lines between the hours of 9am - 5pm. Which if you're working from home it is extremely inconvenient. There was a time where I was only given notice the day-of as well. However, the renovated suites do look very nice and modern. The building, while not perfect, will definitely provide you with an authentic, downtown Edmonton experience.

Best building management team I've experienced in my 17 years plus in this building. (Yes 17) Building has always been clean and well maintained, but this team is just more responsive to issues than previous teams, and more proactive in ensuring the building is a safe and comfortable place for all the tenants. A recent repair request was dealt with quickly and the maintenance staff that took care of it went above and beyond by doing the repair, then adding some measures to ease my mind for any future issues, as well as explaining what he was doing to assure me this particular issue was resolved. Just great service all around from both Management and Maintenance.
