I do not recommend dealing with Steve Genn. He was extremely unprofessional and rude. We feel completely taken advantage of. Our furnace stopped pumping heat so I contacted Proair Heating. & Cooling for repair. While on the phone with him to confirm he would come out to fix our furnace, I also requested we swap out our Wifi Thermostat for a basic wired in system. I was told that it wasn’t an issue, he would bring out options to choose from. I said I didn’t want to spend a lot, and he said he’d bring several options. I mentioned I wouldn’t be home and would be out of service, but my wife would be and would pick out one to fit in where the old one was. Upon getting home, I noticed we had another wifi thermostat ?!? My wife tells me Steve only provided two options. A new $400 wifi option or repair our existing. My wife knew I wanted to replace our existing, so chose the new option. She was given no other options. I called Steve and questioned why we ended up with something we already had and he was extremely rude and told me “ Sounds like you have buyers remorse” “ I shouldn’t trust my wife” “ I bet if we had a three way discussion the story would be different” (During the entire conversation my wife was actually on the phone with myself and Steve). He admitted that he only offered her the two options vs what him and I spoke about on the phone. Over and above, he took my actual $400 wifi thermostat, refused to come back and swap out unless I paid him too. Although he said I would still get back about $200 for the difference less his hour call out. Even more, during the job he stopped and took a call from what sounded like a friend who needed advice on starting their business and charged us for this time. When my wife said she could set up the app for the wifi thermostat, he refused and continually grabbed her phone from her hands to do it. He also charged us for this time even though she said she could do it. This is not about the money to me. It’s on principle - he saw an opportunity to take advantage of a situation and he did. And when questioned on it, he had no problem that he had taken advantage - his response was actually that “I’m the only one in your area that can work on your building so good luck”. It also turns out the original thermostat wasn’t broken - it was wired in incorrectly. He told me this on this phone. HE was the one who had initially installed it three years ago. With the level of ease he had in doing this and in how he responded to it, I can only assume he’s done this before to others. I should also mention that after all of this, he called us at 1am that evening. We didn’t answer but this seems completely inappropriate to me. Won’t be dealing with him again.

Highly recommend Proair. Professional, efficient, friendly and knowledgeable staff from front office to service crew. Really impressed with the service we received and certainly recommend using Proair for your ductless heating needs.

Proair is without a doubt the mostly reliable and professional HVAC company in town. I strongly recommend Pro Air to anyone who needs a company that they can trust. If i could rate them above five stars, I would. Ive personally been lucky enough to work closely with Proair and i simply can’t explain in words how grateful am for the entire experience. Pro air’s staff are definitely the kind of professionals that you want handling the equipment that keeps your home and business comfortable. They are clean, respectful, and punctual. If I ever find myself in their corner of town again... Proair’s door will be the first one that I knock on.

Unprofessional and unethical. Tried to retain services, receptionist was quite rude. My wife left an honest review, business owner Steven Genn then posted her personal information to the site( in contravention with Canada’s privacy act) with the ultimatum of take down the negative review if you want your personal information removed. What a total class act this clown is! In response to your rambling about my wife and I hiding behind anonymity, at no time did we try to hide our identity, you went to the extent of publishing my home address and phone number in an attempt to have a negative review removed. I'm afraid I don't succumb to bully tactics. as for the rest of your response regarding quality of service, and how everyone else is less than par. That is quite the tale you tell about my case, very little of it being true, the only truth being that my regular service guy was tied up and we called to see when your earliest availability would be. The fact that you were not even involved in the conversation leads me to wonder what the source of your fairytale is. Perhaps hearsay from a rude receptionist. I do appreciate that you have now removed some of my personal information,

As you can see, I did not hide under a false name. My name is attached to my review. My review was and still is an honest review and I am sorry that you disagreed. You may have been able to intimidate and pressure others that have given an honest one star reviews in the past so that they remove them but I’m not one that believes you should be able to have total control over what others think or feel. I suggest that in the future you and your staff learn to take responsibility and own your actions. I do not have a vendetta against your company. I just wanted to make others aware of how rude and unprofessional your office staff can be. Your responses to my review have also been very confusing as what you have chosen to write or make others aware of had no part of my dealings with you or your company. To say that your the only reliable and decent company in town is a far stretch from the truth. Thank you for removing most of my personal information, I can’t begin to express how much I appreciate that. Now if you can please remove the rest of my address.

We have used Proair to install and maintain our AC, furnace, pool heater and clean our ducts. Always a good experience. On my most recent call to the office I spoke to Leah about how cold it is in our basement in the summer. The problem we had was our AC runs quite continuously trying to keep the upstairs cool. She had some very useful tips and now our AC runs way less and our upper and lower floors are much more equally cooled. We also recently had a new Thermostat installed and now we can control our heating and cooling from our phone. Really nice perk which for us means less energy consumption. Thank you ProAir once again! Nice to have you in town!
