I traveled quite a way today to visit this store because I love the one in Hamilton. I specifically went for Ottawa Senators merchandise because, well, its IN Ottawa. I was disappointed no one approached me or even said hello as I wandered around the store for 10 or 15 minutes. Eventually I settled on an item and even at check out there was no real interest or concern other than to do the bare minimum. The item I selected wasn't exactly what I was looking for but I reasoned that I made a special trip so I decided to purchase it anyways. After thinking it over for a while I returned the item later that afternoon and found a better quality item at a similar price. Even when processing the return the manager couldn't be bothered to say hello. I figured no one in the store was interested in my business so I'm not going to support there's.

Superb door crasher deals on high end CCM skates... No stock. Kid was CCM was nice enough and helped me try a few different kinds of skates. Just disappointing on posted great deals only to have 0 inventory.

I absolutely love this place! The first time I went (2019), I was completely upfront (β€œI’m only here to try on sides, so I know what sizes of goalie equipment to buy used online”), and they had nothing but all of the time in the world for me. Just recently they accommodated my return of a new goalie chest protector I had purchased online, for which I had not read the specific sizing guide.

1 very frustrsting, and amateurish issue: their website selection shows items and sales that are not available in store, despite the website showing them in stock at this location. When you speak to the store they admit they havent done inventory in "years" and disregard all website detail. So, you have to call or go into the store to see what they have like it's 1997, or some low budget mom and pop shop. The website should at least take the feature down to not waste customers time coming to an item listed as in stock but not available. But this situation is Canada in a nutshell. We're still figuring out how to commerce up here like businesses in Wyoming. 25 years behind.

During the January 2021 lock down; I still received great service from Dan (one of the managers). I called and spoke with Dan several times during the day; he helped me select the gear & size I wanted to purchase. He gave solid advice and checked the system & did a physical check for the gear. Then he put them aside for me which the curbside pickup a snap. Very impressed with Dan's work. --------------------------------- Bought boxes of synthetic ice tiles recently. I was at the 2420 Bank St. Ottawa store about a month ago and was helped by Jacob. He provided great service. These synthetic ice tiles are easy to put together and make a great mini outdoor rink.

Pro Hockey Life has everything you need to gear up for the hockey season with brand named, good quaility equipment. Once inside the doors you feel like this is truely a store devoted towards the hockey gods. There are posters, hockey jerseys hanging from the rafters, you can even hear the grinding sound of staff sharpening skates. There is a great selection of everything and knowledgeable staff to make sure your equipment meets your needs and fits you correctly. Pro Hockey Life is light years better than the big box stores. They even have a hockey net cage where you can try out new sticks (no slap shots allowed). You can feel the soul of the new composite hockey stick and where the blade likes to fire the puck. Aww the sweet spot! The cage's computerized program can even tell you the speed of your shot as it rockets your puck into the back of the net. This is so cool. Just thinking of trying out a new stick again runs blood down my veins. It is so easy to fall in love with new equipment and sticks every time I go inside the store. I love it and I think you will too. If you like my review please give it a thumbs up. That way I can know I am providing helpful material

I found a pair of gloves online and bought them Thursday, picked them up in store on Friday. I decided to buy online as I didn't want to risk getting to the store to find out they don't have stock (a common issue in the Covid-era). Sunday, changed my mind and decided to return them to the store. They wanted to charge me a 15$ restocking fee! It's in the "policy' as if someone would click the terms and conditions of a return. Anyways, after much debate they waived it. Can't blame the store but this policy they have on restocking fees gives me a good reason not to buy online from Hockey Life.
