Precision Garage Doors

Our garage door hadn't been working properly for months. We finally called Precision Garage Doors to take a look. Roy was knowledgeable, professional and handled the install himself. Within 30 minutes we had a new, incredibly quiet working garage door opener. Excellent customer service and workmanship. We will definitely recommend Roy and his team to our friends and family! Precision Garage Doors performed excellent service on our door that required new hinges and rollers. All work was completed, springs, cables and door opener were all adjusted and working like brand new in less than an hour. The Technician was polite and thorough, so I highly recommend this company.

Precision replaced my worn out springs on my garage door a couple months ago. They came on time, carried out the work professionally, fast, and at a reasonable cost. Last night my garage door would not close and I could see that the wires on the lifting mechanism had unraveled. I called Precision right away, even though it was past 9pm, and the repairman came in less than an hour. He was able to fix the problem promptly and did not charge me anything. Excellent, reliable service. I would not hesitate to use their services again and highly recommend them to anyone else.

I used Precision's website to inquire about repairing our garage door. I received a phone call within minutes. The staff person was pleasant and professional. The technician attend the following day (on a Saturday). He fixed our door and replaced the vapor barrier. He was friendly and professional. I will be recommending Precision Garage Doors to my family and friends.

Reply to company response: NOT ONE TIME did the technician offer to change my old keypad. I would have gone ahead had it NEEDED to be replaced. He assured me my old one would work with the new motor as it was the same brand. I also called the office to ask for a technician to come out and program my existing key pad as I was still under the impression it would work with the new motor. NOT one time did I demand any new equipment for free. This company also apparently lies when it is confronted with a negative review. I had a garage door motor replaced this winter. My garage key pad was not programmed by the technician at the time and they wanted to charge me for doing another service call on a part of the job that should have been done the first time. Office staff were rude on the phone and unprofessional.

On time, efficient, clean, and thorough workmanship without upcharge or 'salesmanship'. Cable broke on our overhead door on a Sunday at 10am; I called the 24h service line and got an arrival window of 12-2pm. Our tech Joe showed up at 1pm, assessed the problem, identified another issue that needed replacing (a roller) and quoted me for the work before starting (and relayed that there's a 3y warranty on this particular work). Joe thought it would take about 30 mins and it was just more than that before he was done. He showed me what he did, and even gave me tips on how to prevent this from happening again. Although others have given negative reviews on here I would have no issues using them again or recommending to a friend or family!

Edit after their response: Their response should alone tell you everything about the company, no further words. You should also check out "Precision Garage Doors Calgary " as it is the same company. Be sure to do your homework and always ask for a second opinion because you just might unveil their dishonesty. Got a quote over the phone for about $200 to fix a cable that snapped. Had the tech come out who had NO MASK on during a pandemic, and he did not seem interested to get one when asked. Then the tech went into the garage, hardly looked at anything and said that he cannot fix the cables because the system is too old and the whole system needs to be replaced for $800. He said that he does not even have parts to fix the cable and that it was not an option for us, which was odd as that was the whole reason why we called him there? He gave us 2 choices, which was to replace the whole door for $2100 or pay $800 for a new system. I requested a formal quote and gave the tech my email address and unfortunately the company never bothered to send the quote, so I guess they were not interested. Instead, I called a different garage door company and the tech fixed the cables in an hour and recommended for the door to be replaced within a few years (and that it was not urgent). Told him about the situation with Precision, and he agreed they were not being honest with me at all. Very unimpressed by the customer service on both the intake caller and the technician, lack of respect of not wearing masks during a pandemic when going into someone's home, and the dishonesty on the work as they wanted to upsell us as much as they could without really taking look at the issue.

Customer service at its finest with a leader hanging up the phone on you!!! Not recommended for Service. The Technician that came out to our house was amazing, the boss Roy on the other hand was very rude and hung the phone up on me. Funny how warranty can change over the phone and how they said we replaced cables when it was actually the springs which one has broken again. Not even worth 1 Star
