★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is BY FAR the best vet clinic I have ever been to in my 35 years of having family pets. The Dr's really care about the animals. They only suggest tests that are truly helpful and are truly concerned for the well being of your family friend. Do you and your pet a favor and make this your "go to" health facility for your animals. Any Praise I give is not high enough for the service you receive. I wish my own doctors had this attitude...lol...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I took my dogs here for their yearly shots, they were attentive and spoke about my one dog's possible thyroid problems and talked to me about it in regular people terms which made it easy to understand.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There is a certain type of people who work in vet clinics and hospitals, which is why our pets are so well cared for. And Portage Vet Hospital is no exception. Incredibly friendly and welcoming. They take exceptional care of the animals brought to the clinic. Equally important, they display genuine empathy to the owners and understand what it means to work through pet challenges. Wonderful experience here, every time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I know it's covid times, but to have a window service to deal with clients makes for a difficult transaction. That and the fact that a train rolls by 100 feet away and you literally have to wait till it's gone before you can hear the clerk behind the plastic window. The staff here are really nice and they handled my dog very professionally. And again, probably because it is covid, my appointment was pushed back 40 minutes before i got my dog in. I'd have a tough time giving this place a higher rating, because I know they are trying to make it a great business, but the things going against them make it just an ok place to visit for service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It cost 357.91 to get a male cat neutered..... I had to work the day of appt. so got my bf to drop cat off, they added costs that were not discussed with myself during my booking. I budgeted around 200.00. Not impressed. I tried to talk to "woman" at window about it and she was condescending, saying im at fault, I should have left work to bring my furbaby!! I called to speak to someone higher up about my concerns and sounded like same woman called me back!
Not a good experience....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do not recommend. The lady laughed when we were bringing our old dog in to get put down. Poor setup. They make you pay outside and are more concerned about getting your money than the well being of your animal. Regret bringing my pet there from the get-go. Not professional at all. My garage is bigger.
