About Poachedyyc
No great breakfast happens without the coffee. We set out on a journey to find the best cup of coffee we could serve our guests.
After months of searching, tasting and the help of our local Calgary roaster Jeff Farris at Joffees Coffee we found Paradise Mountain. Take the time to read their story below and come to Poachedyyc for a great brew. We serve drip coffee and all specialty coffees such as Lattes, Cappuccinos etc.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely recommend this breakfast spot. The food was delicious and while you can find some staples on the menu, there are also lots of unique options. Also have a full coffee bar. Friendly service as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decided to try this place out since it was close to where I always drive usually, and I’m so glad that I did. My girlfriend and I wanted to get a good breakfast restaurant, and this place did not disappoint. The staff and the owner were so nice when arriving, and provided us with some great coffee. The menu is perfect for size, not being too big and not being too small. The menu is very diverse and had a lot of items that I have not seen before. I honestly wished I could try so much more, so I will defiantly have to go back soon. When we went we got the pork belly Benedict, and it was fantastic. The egg was one of the most perfectly cooked eggs I’ve had from a breakfast place, and the hash browns were fresh and soft. The selection of fruit that was provided was perfect as well. I found everything complimented each other on the plate. One of my favourite eggs Benedict’s I’ve had for sure. Overall great atmosphere and decor with kind staff, and amazing food. We will be reoccurring customers!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yummy brunch spot that’s easy to get to in the south ! I had the traditional Two Egger and my friend had the Florentine eggs Benny. They were both super good ! The problems with this place is the small menu that’s not super adaptable and the fact there is no wait list or reservations (at least on Sunday we found out) and it’s not a very big place ! Good coffee and yummy food though !

Waited over 40 mins to get the food and they served it cold. Only one person was working at that time.
May b they had short staff that day. Will give another chance and try again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went for a spontaneous late brunch since we were in the area. Called ahead to try and secure a table and we did.
Service was okay, the manager's attitude and vibe is very welcoming, totally opposite to the server we had.
Hers felt like what she was doing was a chore and that she had to deal with us because its her job and she has to, (if that makes sense).
Food was okay, nothing special.
I ordered the wild mushroom omelette, it came with fried potatoes and 3pcs of grapes and half a strawberry, now im not sure how they serve some of the fruits with the other items on the menu, but i think putting it beside the hot fried potatoes and on a hot plate is not how i imagined it, the fruits immediately turned warm, its just a little off putting, though i still ate them as theres only literally 3 and a half pieces, the omelette itself was a little dry and bland, so we ordered a side of hollandaise sauce to make up for the dryness. it helped a little bit.
my partner got the French poulet, basically a fried chicken with french toast(i think), the bread was battered and fried. The chicken had flavour to it, liked the spices they used. the bread flopped though.
also ordered a hot chocolate. to my disappointment, most of it was foam, i literally finished the drink before the food arrived. for 5$ i expected to have more than three gulps atleast.
food/drink is too pricey for quality, also considering the location i didnt think it would be that much.
Its nice they have Neo tho, you can get 10% cb.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shout out to PoachedYYC, not just for the tasty food, but for being so accommodating towards our group.
I had called a few days prior to going to find out if they took reservations. While they don't, the owner, Mike, told me to give him a call the day of. Fast forward, and Mike sets aside a table for us, and even makes sure it's a booth to better accommodate my friend and her baby. Really appreciate them going above and beyond like that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were cheerfully greeted as soon we walked in, and given a table. The menu is QR, it's a great menu! The restaurant is decorated in a funky chic farmhouse style, I kind of love it. The food is fantastic, actually it's scrumdiddlyumptious! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is, because the waitress seemed to forget us. I had to ask her 3 times for a straw and or ketchup. She didn't come to our table to check on us, or if we are enjoying the food once, but showed up promptly with our bill. Over all, a great place with a nice atmosphere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great energy and atmosphere at Poachedyyc. The interior is beautifully decorated, calm colors, nice textures, clean, no funky smells - even the washroom was stunning! Lol.. the food was delicious, the flatware and drinkware were so nice, and our server was friendly, patient and attentive. QR code menu - same as what is on their website. Will definitely be returning and would recommend!
