She has a great selection of healthy plants, many of which are not easy to find at the big box stores, such as this begonia maculata, pink princess philodendron and micans plant. Prices are very reasonable, considering the quality, size and type of plant you are getting. This plant shop is worth the drive. I highly recommended going here if you are looking for cool and unique plants.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love the selection this little place has, including a lot of rare varieties the big boxes don't tend to have. Only thing I would complain about, lots of those rare plants are so thirsty, and the jewel orchids at the front have spider mites that will make the way over to the other plants.
Otherwise, the prices are good! The pup is friendly too!

All of the plants I’ve purchased have been healthy and pest free. I love the selection of rare/uncommon plants available here as well. I highly recommend PIM for new and experienced plant parents. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing plant collection. This is one of my favorite places to shop for rare exotic plants in calgary. The owners and staff make sure that the plants are high quality. I have had no issue with any of the plants that I bought from this place.
The staff are very friendly and are quite knowledgeable of the plants. The place is very well organized and well kept.
With the current pandemic, they have taken extra steps to limit the amount of people in the shop, promote good hand hygiene, and donning of masks.
Thank you for being one of the best plant shops in the Calgary area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I changed my review (see below) from 1 star to 3 stars. My email was eventually responded to after 48+ hours and a replacement plant was provided. Replacement plant looks to be in good condition and was delivered as scheduled.

Very disappointed. Ordered online with delivery after reading good reviews. One plant from the order was missing. I contacted the store by email, but still no response after 36 h. The plants I received did not look well cared for. Broken leaves. Moldy potting mix. Delivery was as scheduled but plants were placed in open paper bag with no layers to insulate from calgary winter. Nice selection but better to spend money on plant communities on Facebook to get better quality to price ratio.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I received my first order from Plant it Modern today, and I only ordered it yesterday. I live west of Calgary so I give them points for fast delivery. They also get points for the selection of interesting plants. Price is high for the specimen you receive, I am expecting to have to acclimate my plant, I had to clean it free debris and a little webbing. Don’t be disappointed if there is some damage, I suspect these plants may not ship well from their origin. The purchase is still worth it to me as I am a collector, and the customer service was great. A big thank you to Gordie, I had to ask him to ring my neighbor and leave my package there, he was very nice about it. I didn’t expect the fast shipment. I look forward to seeing the shop in person!
