Evan (the trainer) is friendly, kind and encouraging, whilst also wanting to push you to do your best. He’s knowledgeable and approachable and helps you with whatever stage of working out you’re at. If you’ve ever wanted to try, just do it. He will help you achieve your goals. 5 stars easily!

But the my have reduced the hours from around the clock alienating the core group of members forcing those who work early and need to be there before a 5am open. Now a large group has had to switch gyms for more convenient hours. One of planet fitness big selling points across North America is the 24 hour schedule during the week. Oh but now excluding Abbotsford

TV's are sometimes on or sometimes off, Fans are sometimes on or sometimes off, very inconsistent. Either way I enjoy using their app to see how busy the gym is. And the price is perfect for my life scenario. ???

Their trainer, Evan, is a great teacher and source of info since I didn’t know where to even begin! Would definitely recommend anyone to give him and the gym a try!

However it is unfortunate that they no longer offer quite what I signed for, and even more unfortunate that they will auto renew accounts set to no auto renew with absolutely no heads up. I got double charged an annual fee (during the peak of the pandemic, so I hadn't been to the gym in quite a while)on an empty account (assuming they would NOT auto renew an account set to not do so), and instead got a ton of overdraft fees, and then refused service despite them continuing to charge my account. edit to add This was brought to the attention of management yesterday, which is what prompted me to leave a poor review.

I have witnessed them being abused and mistreated on several occasions during Covid. They manage to be polite and firm yet they adhere to the current mandates and restrictions. The gym is always cleaned and sanitized and the staff are continually keeping it spotless. It is the highlight of my day when I arrive and am greeted by the smiles and greetings of their incredible staff. Thank you all.

I was very nervous because I didn’t know where to start and feeling a bit self conscious I didn’t really want to talk to anyone either. So I started out with the 30min circuit area. It’s super simple, you just follow the directions. You go from one machine to the next (they’re numbered) and there’s a timer so you just move once the time is up. Did that 4x a week for the first 6 months and along with cutting out refined sugar in my diet, lost 60lbs. Since then I’ve been coming to this gym 4-5x a week. The staff are super welcoming, friendly and helpful. Facility is clean, well maintained and has everything you need whether you’re a seasoned user or just starting out. I felt I needed to shake up my routine a little so I recently booked a PT session with Evan, their trainer. I found him to be very knowledgeable and supportive. He set up a custom program for me (included with the price of membership) to reach my goals and it’s going really well. If you’re looking to get healthy again or even if you’ve never stepped into a gym before like me, I highly recommend Planet Fitness Abbotsford.
