About Pita Pit
When Pita Pit began back in 1995, Braveheart was Best Picture, Seinfeld was all the rage, the Worldwide Web was just taking off and the DVD was new—and a major innovation.
So was the idea that drove Nelson Lang and John Sotiriadis to open their first Pita Pit in Kingston, Ontario.
Today’s trend toward healthier eating was still a long way off, but Nelson and John were ahead of the curve. They were convinced the time was right to offer a fresh, healthy alternative to traditional high-fat, high-carb, high-calorie fast foods. Their Lebanese-style pita sandwiches packed with fresh veggies, grilled meats and zesty sauces were an instant hit with the college and university crowd, especially since the store stayed open late—well into the wee hours of the morning, making it perfect for students taking a break from studying or coming home after a night of partying.
Within two years, franchise stores had begun opening right across Canada. Two years later, they were opening in the USA where the concept took off immediately with consumers of all ages.
Today, there are more than 650 Pita Pit stores in North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
Clearly, Pita Pit’s “fresh thinking, healthy eating” motto is an idea whose time has come.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The product tasted great and was good value but there were two things I noticed. First the employee who served us wasn't engaged in his job at all. Seemed like he just wanted to get back to his smart phone or something. Second we ordered two pitas, a small and a large. For the difference in price, I'd go for the large now every time. Small is really small and for the difference in price between them, the large is a much better value. We'll go back though. Very tasty.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This a gem for sure when wanting fresh wraps. I always get what i ordered here unlike other places that do similar food in Airdrie. The veggies are always fresh and tasty and the staff always eager to serve and make sure you leave happy and full. 5 stars for sure. I had a great experience here! I asked for a little extra veggies here (Lots of pineapple and mushroom) and a few less there (tiny bit of tomatoes) and the employee was amazing to accommodate/following my instructions. Would come back again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've loved Pita Pit at every location I've tried. Until tonight. I was so disappointed. I don't know if it was because the guy was working alone and in a hurry? But the wraps were wrapped so so sloppy. The pita itself was not fresh, i had to rip multiple hard pieces off. Just a super disappointing experience for the food i usually love.
