This will be updated after Phoenix completes their work. So far though Phoenix has been timely, courteous, patient, and thorough. Joey and Kyle visited my building yesterday to do an initial assessment of damages and to place equipment to help the situation until the project manager visits to do a follow-up and repair plan. Joey and Kyle were both professional in their conduct and were happy to answer any question they could. They provided very thorough work. Hoping the rest of their work goes as smoothly.

I have never experienced customer service so poor that it has motivated me to write a negative review about a company. However my experience with Phoenix Restorations has been painful to say the least. They were hired by my strata to do emergency repairs due to water damage and right from the start of the project they have displayed a lack of professionalism. The assessment of the damage was mediocre and completed by someone who seemed to lack the knowledge to properly assess the situation. There have been several project managers on the case; none of them ever seem to know what is going on. They sent me a report and when I questioned why items outlined in the report weren’t completed. The response was β€œWe can’t just do renovations because you tell us to!” When I returned the attention to the fact that the items I was referring to were in the report that THEY SENT ME…I got β€œsorry I didn’t actually read the report.” Wrong answer. It has been 2 1/2 months and my suite is a long way from finished. In addition to having terrible customer service, the execution of the work itself is definitely not up to standard. They had to gut the entire bathroom among other things and it’s a disaster - bent steel studs hanging from the ceiling, taped to the pipes to hold it up, they didn’t even bother to remove the thinset after they broke then removed the floor tile during demolition. They left a toilet and sewage soaked vanity in my living room for weeks, no big deal right? They cut my fibre Optik cable right before a long weekend and didn’t even have the decency to let me know I would be without service. I could go on for another 5 paragraphs but I will spare you all of the gritty details. Long story short - save yourself the hassle and use a different company.

I didn’t realize that Phoenix restoration provided so many services. There was a flood in my place which they came to deal with, packed all my stuff and stored it. Once my home was dried, they repaired all the walls, painted, installed new cabinets, tiles, the list goes on. I was just so happy they did it all and I did not have to have 3 different companies coming in and out trying to coordinate with one another

*Update. It is amazing what an honest Google review will do. a man by the name of Rocky just left and he repaired and repainted. I am please that he was able to come in and undo so much of what was done to then go ahead and put it back together. Thank you Rocky! I was told to not expect perfection from Michael the Jr Project Manager. I don't expect perfection but I expect the job to be done right in a timely manner and to NOT have more damage done to my home. In October of 2020 my neighbour had a leak, through her insurance she contacted Phoenix. It is now mid March and yes the water damage has mostly been fixed yet it has been a long and frustrating road to get here. Over the last few months mud has been splatter all over my bathroom, paint is in random places, the glass in my vanity was knocked out, I will need to fix and repaint many spots including spots I pointed out to Phoenix numerous times that were not fixed, and other spots where holes were not filled prior to painting. I thought when I called on February 8 to share my concerns that I was heard and that my concerns would be address. Michael told me he would check in when the work was done and send over a cleaning crew. That has yet to happen. The header above the door was redone at my request, you can see what a terrible job was done the first time, even after being redone it is still doesn't look great. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. If you have another option for your restoration, go with it. Phoenix, it is unfortunate that you were not able to provide "exceptional service and workmanship" as stated on your website. I hope this is a learning experience for you and that in the future you can fulfill the promises you make to your customers.

Hired for a strata common property repair - which was fine. The quality of work might be fine, but just terrible communication. You have to really chase these guys to get even the barest of details out of them.

I had a flooding incident in my apartment unit last Boxing Day (2021). My strata asked the Phoenix to do water damage restoration. They put 2 dehumidifiers. The staffs came 3 times for assessment. Then I needed an incident report for my insurance provider to proceed the claim. I have made 2 phone calls and 3 emails for this matter. No reply so fair and I cannot do anything now!!!

Our unit was one of eight that suffered a flood/water damage and unfortunately my second bedroom and washroom were affected. Our strata contacted Phoenix and they were on site overnight dealing with the flood/water damage. Kyle Brettell was the lead on site and he was very thorough and open about the process, how long it would take, what they would be doing each day, and when they would be coming. I do work at my office so they were very accommodating to my schedule and would base their work around times when I would be home. Kyle and his crew were professional, did their work efficiently, and cleaned up any messes prior to leaving. Our drywaller Devin was also very fast and efficient in what he did and ensuring that our unit was up to fire code given the damage sustained. Overall a really unfortunate situation but I am happy with the work done by this crew despite the unforeseen circumstances.

I had water damage due to a burst pipe in July 2021 my strata wall. My strata initially called Phoenix and it had been a debacle ever since. Their dry waller contractor sealed up the wall before the plumbing had been fixed resulting in a second dry wall removal. I was patient and understanding since due to covid I figured the work force was a little slim and supplies would be delayed. I was a little leary to use them but my insurance company had a good working relationship with them so I went ahead. I signed over the money from my insurance to them(big mistake) and away we go. Finally over Christmas the floor contractor came out to show me samples. I decided on the carpet and laminate. Early January my kitchen cabinets are finally re installed but no floors. The floor guy delivers the laminate, and tells me they'll be there to install on Feb 7. I'm on vacation that week but have set up for my neighbor to let them in. Carpet guy shows up with the carpet and because I haven't cleared the carpet area leaves. Apparently there was a mix up at there office. I call him and after several calls he picks up and says about the mix up he'll have the secretary call me. I then call the floor guy and inquire about just the laminate being done and I'll take care of the carpet myself. No answer, No returned call.I call Phoenix and speak to a managers voice-mail about cancelling the carpet install and taking the money. No return call. It is now February 25,2022 and I've had no call back from the secretary, manager or floor subcontractor. Be warned people.
