Signed me up for a Fair Pharmacare plan when I DID NOT give my consent in 2015 and charged me for it in 2018 then threatened to send me to collections over something I did not consent to or use. It’s difficult to call in and when I got through, they requested I send a letter to their Victoria office to dispute the charge. I just paid it.

For 1 month now, my husband has been waiting for pharmacare to approve his Dr's special authorization for his ADHD medications. He has been having major withdrawal symptoms because of missing his meds for a month now. We have left messages, our Dr has left messages, we have faxed the consent form 100 times and our Dr has filled out the special authorization and followed up with voice messages. The health benefits has also been waiting for their response so we can finally get my husband's medications. It's the best way to kill people! If you are broke and can't afford to pay your meds from your own pocket, unfortunately you are just going to die or kill someone from withdrawal symptoms in this case. They don't care! Until now, we are still waiting..

On hold for 3 hours then they hung up on me. This has happened a few times.

I would have gave negative star if there is such rate. Rude agents in the call center, not helpful and refers me to go back to website information which I do not need to waste a whole 30 minutes to wait for the call. Not efficient, not informative and definitely not useful at all.

RUDE AND CONDESCENDING! Their phone service agent spoke so fast I couldn't keep up trying to write down some notes about all the info he was spurting out so fast. I asked him to repeat and basically was made to feel like I was bothering them with my questions. Typical government pencil pusher mentality. Too bad, but no amount of negative Google reviews would even come close to making a difference to any government employee. Must be nice to have that kind of "job security".

I needed to apply for pharmacare to get extended my student benefits card approved. Only to discover that I had to call the help line because for some error on my online application. Waited almost 3 hours to talk to an agent. First was told a wait of 10 minutes call was dropped after 1 and half hours. Called back and decided to leave a call back number and was immediately called and said I was the 1st person in cue. Waited another 3/4 hour. Finally someone answered. Then I learn that when I was out of province living in Nova Scotia the BC Government (Liberals) in 2003 sent an application for Pharmacare and then decided because it was undeliverable they would have it sit collecting dust without my knowledge of it ever existing. Now I have to wait for it to be sent to me for me to fill out and then I have mail it back to them and wait for my application to go through. What a mess..I wonder how many others are going through this?

The absouletly most heartless people I have ever dealt with. No compassion let alone professionalism . I have called twice to inquire about something I need as I am going through breast cancer and the two guys I spoke to should be fired. I should post your names so everyone knows who you are ...shame on you for being so cold hearted. You deserve a minus zero for your lack of compassion, integrity and professionalism.

I have had a couple of phone calls with them over the last year. Until now I have never need to sign up with Pharmacare, but because we got a new extended health plan, in order for us to not get cut off on coverage from the pharmacy we were told we needed to sign up. When I first called to inquire about registering the woman was extremely rude and did not want to talk to me. Finally, on my own, I figured out how to sign up online. After doing that, I received a letter in the mail stating I had temporary coverage through pharmacare and I just needed to fill out a form stating our income and send it in. This was back in January. I checked in again a couple months later and the lady on the other end of the phone told me she couldn't help me and to go online. No information online helped me find out what was going on with my plan. Every time I went in after that to my pharmacy, they would again inform me that my extended plan is requiring I provide proof of pharmacare coverage, otherwise they'd cut me off. I called my extended plan in July to tell them I was trying to get this sorted out, but that all I had was a letter from January. I sent them the letter and it wasn't good enough because it was "temporary". I called Pharmacare again today, and at first the man was nice on the other end of the phone (unusual for pharmacare workers). He started confirming my information and then asked me about whether I was labelled under "family coverage". I didn't know how to answer because, yes I do have a fiancee that is common law, but no kids, so I didn't know if that was considered "family". As soon as I stumbled on that one question, this guy got really aggressive and was not very nice towards me. I explained all I had was a letter of temporary coverage and that I needed to know if I had full active coverage yet or not. He kept on interrupting me every time I asked a question, would not let me get a word in. All I was trying to explain was that I never received any indication, any letter that I had received coverage. Apparently, my "coverage" was full and active as of March. It's now end of October. He told me that I received a letter in the mail stating this and insinuated that I must have lost it. I never lose anything. I look through all of my mail and organize it into a filing system. Never once had I received anything from them. All this time I had been waiting and calling and receiving no information. This man I spoke with today made me cry whilst on the phone with him. All because I was asking a simple question and to send me a letter in the mail. That is all, and he was aggressive, rude and made me cry. If it weren't for my extended health plan requiring it, I never would deal with this again.
