C	Chase Sterlington on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Customer service is very poor since the new owner took over approx 3 yrs ago. Been shopping only here for the last 6 yrs but that will be changing after today. I went in for freeze dried food, as we have decided to start avoiding preservatives. After a 10 minute conversation with the owner "justifying" our departure from acana, she took me down the kibble Isle, showing us comparable food to what we already feed. I politely reiterated again that I wanted to try freeze dried and avoid chemical preservatives and she replied that "all bagged food will have chemicals". She showed me the first freeze dried brand in reach and discovered that amazingly it did not have any chemical preservatives, to which she proclaimed " this is much better", as if I hadn't been trying to find this section from the start. Our entire conversation was a "debate" and required me to defend my research and desires to feed my dog healthier food. I don't understand why an owner would make it so difficult to buy food and engage customers with such a negatively over baring attitude. Unfortunately, today it resulted in losing a long term customer. And as the previous reviewer stated; she suggested starving my dog also, until it " eats the food you provide" and to remember that "dogs eat rancid meat" when is said that I would not be leaving raw food out over night. Very disappointing advice to hear from someone people rely on to HELP their 4 legged FAMILY MEMBERS.

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable (and ready with free treats) plus the roaming kittens were an adorable extra plus. The selection and prices are good and I will definitely be back.

Also bought one of the Furminator deshedding brushes just like the one that was provided in the bath. The dogs didn't enjoy the bath so much but they loved the treats that were provided. Thanks Pet Valu! ?❤️

After she passed, Pet Valu was amazing and we were able to return the unopened food/treats that we had a lot of. I highly recommend them, they are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful and they care. Can’t ask for anything more. Thank you for your compassion during our difficult time!
