★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I called Perma Seal yesterday morning (Monday) because I had a small window repair job that needed to be done. I talked to Gord Gauvin and he said he would come by and check out the repair. I was concerned that because it was only a small job, they wouldn't do it.
But, to my delight and surprise, Gord showed up about 30 minutes later, talked me through the process and said they could do the work today (Tuesday). Gord showed up to set up the scaffolding and help the repair technician get started. He came back later in the day to check on the work. The technician was friendly and pleasant, the work was excellent and Gord was such a great person to get to know.
I highly recommend this company!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They don't do free estimates which is weird to start with. It will cost you 130$ for them to look at your windows and take some measurements. After speaking and explaining to the lady on the phone that I don't understand why you would make me pay in advance if there is no guarantee that they can fix my windows, The lady got mad and said to me "go somewhere else then!" and hang up on me...I never in my life got such bad customer service...Very rude. I, myself own a small business and I can tell you that's not the way to do business... They are some many window companies in Edmonton, don't use them!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gordon and his staff are a pleasure to deal with and are very passionate about what they do. One visit to their showroom/shop and you can see they take pride in what they do. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to my friends and customers. Definitely worth stopping by for a visit.

We wanted to explore replacing all the sealed units of our windows at home as the frames and window casings were in good shape.
Got in touch with a number of local companies. Others wanted to sell me full window options; one company (Green Fox) wasn't even prepared to give me a written quote unless I placed an order with them first! Who would be stupoid enough to place an order without a written quote?)Gord at Permaseal was the only one who paid any attention in figuring out whether it was possible. (I had to initially sent photos and videos by email to save him wasted time).
Workmanship was excellent.
After care is excellent too. We had a couple of minor issues that he came out and resolved. Subsequently we had him visit us to replace window hinges and crank mechanisms; again a stress free and honest event.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A few years ago we hired Perma Seal to replace several windows in our home, including a big picture window in the living room. Everything was done on time and well. About a week later we asked them to add some caulking to our entry door. To our big surprise a few men crew came in carrying new panes to our already installed picture window.
It has turned out that when they looked up our file they noticed that they had made and installed lower quality panes than those we ordered and paid for. The difference was in a special glass coating minimizing sun damage to the interior. They showed us a tiny code printed on the panes corners indicating what it was. We would have never found it ourselves! I doubt if they could ever utilized the old panes. That is honesty that is not often found nowadays. Needless to add that when we ever need anything to do with windows, doors and the like, we always go to Perma Seal and we recommend them to our family and friends. We do not even ask for a prior quote.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perma Seal team went over and above in customer service and patience and technical know-how replacing 20+ wood framed windows (of various shapes and sizes) for us. Perma Seal team was excellent - from the first onsite discussion about what the problems were, advice on how to address the window issues, delivery onsite of the new windows, and the actual installation work performed --- it was a great experience. Our window project was completed on time, on budget, and the windows have performed well through the seasons (keeping the warmth in during winter and the heat out during summer) . Thanks to Perma Seal team for a great job.
