In January my fiance popped the question. The day after we got my ring sized since he surprised me and had no ring size to go off of. We were told they would be able to custom order the ring for us. After two months I called to get an update about the ring. We were told they couldn’t custom order it cause it was a special and that we either had to resize the ring from 6 to a 9, which would damage it, or choose another ring. The next time we both had a day off to go in everything shut down cause of Covid. When things started to open up again I reached out to a sales representative online who suggested we order the size 8 ring and size that up. Ordering a bigger size and sizing up from that wasn’t even an option when we discussed it with People’s in Kamloops. I received the size 8 in the mail quickly and needed to wait until People’s in Kamloops reopened. Today I went into the store and explained my situation and after 6 months got to get my ring sent out to get it properly sized. Not once did I receive an apology for the lack of communication and poor service prior to covid occurring. The online sales representative, I believe her name was Janice, was the only one who seemed to make an effort and felt bad regarding our situation.

During this pandemic my diamond earing was lost. It is a screw back. I went to people's and they told me nothing they could do. My earing are check every six month for cleaning and making sure nothing is wrong. I never missed a cleaning-check up do this not being done I lost an earing. Had they checked I don't think I would have lost it. Didn't come unscrewed by itself. This I feel is their fault because they would have seen maybe the stem was wearing down. Don't think I'll be shopping at People's anymore.

Despite current circumstances and limited stock; they had what my mum was wanting for Christmas. Thank you to the staff for making the holidays perfect for her.

The customer service was awesome here, the clerk made my day she was so friendly, cleaned my rings and made my day

Every time I go to get my rings serviced under my extended warranty I am made to feel less than, am made to feel unintelligent, or am treated as if I am not spending enough money to obtain decent customer service. Today I was directly pointed to the purchase price of my rings which has literally NOTHING to do with the services I am guaranteed under the extended warranty. If they didn't want my business why did they sell the rings in the first place??? Six months ago they pointed out an issue they had no interest in assisting me with and talked me out of getting my rings sent away to be fixed. Today when I brought them in, not only was I told they couldn't see any issue, but they then directed me to the purchase price instead of learning about the actual issue which is visible with the naked eye. Totally dumbfounded by these experiences and wonder if it's actually that they discriminate based on dress/class/outward appearance? Will be sending my husband to deal with them from now on as maybe he will be perceived as having more credibility than me?...
