Great experience!! Called the marina and asked if we could rent a seadoo in the next hour if we drove up from osoyoos . They told us common up. No deposit for the rental. I think it was $85 for a hour and then we only used like $15 in gas. Great time , good quality seadoos an great service!!

Family with two teens wanted to try out a Wave Runner (never driven one before). Penticton Boat Rentals/Penticton Jetski had the best price in the Summerland/Penticton area. We did not book in advance but had phoned to confirm plenty of openings. Our phone navigation took us past the dark blue rental shack and we were looking for a Jetski sign instead of boat rental. So we had to loop back to find them. Staff were friendly and explained everything we needed to know. The signing of forms, explanations, etc. took quite a while, not because they were slow, but because there's simply a fair bit to do, so leave yourself lots of time. We were allowed one driver/passenger switch because bringing the Wave Runner in and out of the marina is when most accidents happen. Understandable. So my husband took off first with our son. We got to watch them from a quay to the west of their dock. There are benches and a path. It allowed us to take a few snaps. The boys didn't push the Wave Runner. They stayed fairly low key and I wondered if it was hard to handle or if the waves were too bumpy. I took our daughter out for the last half of the hour. I thought I was going to be one of the slowest, most cautious drivers PBR has ever had (I'm in my mid 50s!) but there was very little marine traffic and we basically had the end of the lake to ourselves. So I let her rip! What a hoot!!! We got to 40 km/hr. It was choppy so we were sometimes catching air but that was part of the fun. The lake water was warm and I didn't get chilly at all despite the wind. Our teens LOVED it. One of the best hours of the holiday. :-) The machine was very comfortable and, other than having to get used to the steering, it felt very safe. I would have given a five-star review other than, when I asked at the start how much fuel usually costs, we were told $15-30. Because the first half hour was on the slower side, I didn't think we'd go over that. But our fuel bill for 20 litres (good grief, these things guzzle!!) was almost $38. That added almost another third to our base rental cost. Wasn't expecting it. Still worth it as a splurge but I would have liked to have had a clearer understanding of that beforehand. Still would recommend for a wonderful time on the lake!
