Quaint, delightful and relaxing experience for Afternoon Tea at Pendray Inn and Tea House. Beautiful location at Victoria's scenic Inner Harbour. We ordered the Winter Afternoon Tea and chose our own tea. Pinkie's up and 5 stars for wonderful experience with great service from the staff.

The service was good once seated. The tea room itself is rather plain and just lacking some atmosphere compared to the main entry. The house is beautiful but definitely in need of some TLC. The food and presentation was nice. It felt a bit odd that you have to pick your tea, which tea service you want and the gratuity are paid all up front before you are seated, with people waiting you are trying to read over the tea descriptions and it all felt a little rushed.$$-$$$

We stayed at the Inn and had the β€žhigh tea styleβ€œ breakfast for three days. Pros: - quaint setting in the historic building - very good location right next to the harbor and Coho ferry terminal - comfortable beds Cons: - the hotel has seen better days and could benefit from a renovation - the service staff is rather rude and seems to be only out for gratuities. We had to deal with eye-rolling when our kids changed their mind on a Orange juice-order and some snappy comments. When the tip wasn’t to the staffβ€˜s liking we weren’t served properly anymore. They β€žforgotβ€œ to bring salt/pepper, sugar, we had to wait long to get seated etc. - the breakfast was ok but there was no variation, we were given the same 2 options everyday. The bread was rather stale and the portions small. - the price was quite high for what we got

It is a beautiful old home with many rooms serving tea. Everything was delicious and there was a lot of food! My only complaint is that it is not wheelchair friendly. There are no ramps only stairs. I had a very hard time getting up the stairs and when we were leaving I asked if there was a way I could get out without going down the stairs I was told no. Nobody offered to help me.

Fantastic! The best High tea I've been too. Located in the old Victorian house which looks like a museum, like you are traveling back in history. The food was amazing. We have ordered West Coast high tea and every single item was melting in our mouths. Tea was yummy and good quality . And of course Jan, our host, was very welcoming and nice. Will definitely come back.

Just a lovely spot. Authentic feel, relaxing Victorian vibe. High tea was excellent, every treat on our cart was flavourful and the service (Megan) was excellent. The tea is served in beautiful china tea pots, loads of choices and the 2 teas we chose were delicious.

I went here today with a group, we booked a reservation for 1:45pm. The building looks like it could use some maintenance on the outside, but on the inside it was nice and well furnished. However, I must say I was disappointed with the quality of the food for the Afternoon Tea. Right from the start, they were out of 4 or 5 teas, which seemed strange for a tea house. As we moved into our main course, we also found they were out of some desserts we were really looking forward to. Charging $58 to $64 per person when they don’t even have everything in stock certainly felt like we were being ripped off. What they did have in stock seemed a bit stale, or like it had been sitting out all day- some of the desserts were even stick to the plate and took some resistance to get off. Overall, a very underwhelming experience and certainly not worth about $200 for lunch for four people.

Incredibly cute location. Went for afternoon tea during dine around Victoria. Service was spectacular, my friend and I each got a pot of tea, which was about 4-5 full cups in each pot. The afternoon tea selection was a good mix of savory and sweet and each item was delicious but my stand outs from were the ham and brie croissant and lemon lavender cake. Would definitely recommend this for locals as well as visitors to Victoria!
