I started guitar lessons with Patrick a few months ago and he taught me how to play "Smoke on the Water" on my first lesson. Patrick is incredibly patient and very talented. He also set up my guitar so that it now plays better and easier than ever.

I signed my 13 year old son up for guitar lessons at Patrick's Guitar Studio a couple of months ago. The instruction seemed okay, but I did not like the constant pressure to purchase additional products and services, lack of flexibility, the policy of absolutely no make up lessons and insistence by Patrick on cash only payments with no receipts for lessons. This is a business in the commercial section of downtown Brooklin, not someone's home/basement studio so this last bit did not sit well with me. I also didn't like the pressure to purchase repairs/set up for my son's guitar from Patrick, quote for which after some shopping around turned out to be inflated. Or the sales pitches for guitars Patrick refurbishes. Later, when instead of proceeding with a set up for our acoustic guitar, we decided to buy a new electric guitar from Long and Mcquade instead, there was repeated pressure to sell Patrick our old acoustic guitar for well under the market value - again, something that didn't sit well with me. As soon as my son completed the lessons I had paid for upfront, we switched to a different studio in Brooklin. We couldn't be happier with the decision. My son was okay with Patrick as his instructor, but he likes the new instructor significantly better. I also I find he is learning significantly more during each session, progressing faster and he can't wait for his next lesson. I like the professional, relaxed atmosphere, spacious building with proper classrooms and flexibility of the new studio - there is simply no comparison.

I took guitar and drum lessons from Patrick for 5 years. He creates a comfortable, judgement free learning environment, and allows you to work at the pace you need to work at in order to succeed. Patrick is very talented, and is someone who is passionate about music and teaching. I learned more than I could have ever imagined during my time at his studio, and had an awesome time jamming with him and some of his other students. I'm sad to be leaving as I start at University in September, but I am so grateful for everything I learned and how much I improved during my time there!

Patrick is easy to learn from and very patient . I like the way he teaches you the small insider tips of playing with another guitarist or with a drummer . Where else can you learn a song and the "guitar teacher" jumps on the drums to make you feel you are actually performimg and playing something . My son took drum lessons from Patrick when he was a teen many years ago . And when i turned 55 and learning to play the guitar showed up on my bucket list . I knew where to go .

I have taken Guitar Lessons from Patrick for the last four years. I have learned more in the last four years than from any other Guitar Teacher I have had. Both my kids have also taken lessons from Patrick and have significantly advanced in their knowledge of Music from theory to practical... Great Job Would highly recommend him to everyone that wants to get ahead in Music

As a former high school teacher and longtime national coaching instructor, I've a pretty good handle on what makes a good teacher. Patrick is darn good. I'd had one in Ottawa for a few years and he got me up to speed on most things. Patrick has, in a short while, taken me further. Error correction and feedback are key elements of strong teaching and he manages both with a comforting style. Early on, he made a suggestion about my guitar and strings which at first I wondered about. Then, for a decent price, he made the instrument eminently more playable and enjoyable. Well worth my time.

Patrick is an amazing guitar teacher who really wants his students to have a fun and enjoyable lesson. My son went to Patrick Guitar Studio for years and enjoyed jamming with Patrick either on the drums or playing guitar with him. He is more than patient with his students. Patrick is amazing

My son has been taking guitar lessons for 18 months with Patrick. He loves it. My son started when he was only 7 and didn't (doesn't?) have the best attention span, but Patrick is patient and let's my son lead the lessons when he needs something a little less structured. The cost is reasonable. Over the past 18 months we have had to change our practice time/days and Patrick has always worked with us to accommodate our needs. I also like the email transfer option for payments as this is the most convenient for us.
