Though I have played various instruments in the past, and had a bit of experience with piano, I struggled learning new pieces (especially timing). Nathan helped break down the process in a practical way, which has helped me expand my repertoire and skills over the past year. Looking at new pieces/songs is no longer as daunting! For instance, for my son he doesn't use a standard piano book, instead provides his own songs, and sometimes he composes a song especially for him. My son also likes his method for teaching notes, with decks of cards that he specially makes. My son also finds the lessons fun, looks forward to going, and is motivated to practice on his own (though sometimes not quite as much as Nathan suggests).
