★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to the Loblaws Superstore at Park Royal North. it was difficult to find parking. The superstore was absolutely crowded with alot of impatient, rude boomers and some uppity yuppy's that gave it a super awkward feeling. I enjoy the environment and the ambiance and attitude overlying anywhere i go to spend money. Aside from the yuppy's and boomers, the superstore has the best selection of everything but the cheese section and the deli and bakery section were so much fun... such a huge variety to choose from from super expensive to totally affordable.
The fruit and vegetable section was very clean and the veggies and fruit i bought were all great, except the prepackaged peppers. when i returned home to unpack my groceries, i discovered the peppers all had hidden dark and soft spots.
The entire Mall both south and North parts seem to always be busy...its a popular mall to visit in the Greater Vancouver area. my other option at a bigger mall in burnaby isn't really that great compared to Park Royal and Park Royal North

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I go there to buy my groceries in there, there I plenty of car parking and bike racks in there, The great thing about North side is its convenient location with famous brands and a huge branch of City Market next to them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The North side is less busy than the south. Best to park on the west side of the parking lot. There is overflow parking west of the Royal Bank, but I rarely use it.
The big draws are: PetSmart, London Drugs, City Market, Hudson's Bay, Saks fifth Avenue rack, and the biggest BC Liquor store in BC.
I have found that the PetSmart isn't the best for inventory on cat food. However, it has all the other pet supplies. My cat is picky and only kind one kind of Pet food that isn't well stocked. If you don't see it on the shelf, don't bother asking if they have more in the back. The standard reply is that what you see is what we have or it might be in the back but we are not processing it now come back later...
The London Drugs experience is the same as all other LD stores.
City Market is an upscale grocery store somewhere between an IGA and Urban Fare. Maybe it's just me but I find the staff stand offish. It's a little off putting as it is a high end grocer.
HB is a nice quiet place to shop. Their selection is decent and the staff are helpful.
The liquor store is awesome. Massive inventory, plenty of cold brews to be had, well labelled products, tastings and above and beyond knowledge staff. This is a signature store that sells high end wine and spirits. It's the place I go to get something nice for someone and leave feeling confident with my purchase.
