I started frequenting Olives on Tap shortly after it opened. The owner Andrew not only introduced my partner and I to exceptional products, but we also learned lots about the olive oil industry, what type of olive oils to use for which indication and the health benefits of good olive oil. I can't do without it now and even bring some camping and when I go on vacation to visit others! Before then I had always bought oil at the store and now I can barely stand it, as the flavour is so poor compared to the product at Olives on Tap. I recommend it to ask my friends and family and they become hooked after I bring some for them too!

I can't get enough balsamic vinegars and custom oils! We have been long time customers, and we now live in New Westminster, but we travel to North Van just to get our fix! Very tasty!

I love this place! The first time I came in, the staff educated me on the product and encouraged me to taste test to my heart's desire. At first I found it really weird to taste/drink oil or vinegar (and would still never do it with your standard grocery store oil) but it was a great way to learn about the quality and incredible flavours of these products. The infused olive oils and balsamic vinegars have been a game changer for me - I can make super easy salad dressing (that tastes like dessert), marinades, roasted veggies, and more. Thank you Olives on Tap!

I stop by here when I am in the neighborhood. They basically have rows and rows of specialty flavored vinegars and oils. You can taste them before you buy them. Then you choose the size bottle you want and the staff fills it for you. Kind of expensive but I love their Sicilian lemon vinegar and I use it on all my salads, it's sweet and tart. I also got the garlic infused olive oil which is nice too. They have kind of odd hours so I always make sure to check online before I go.

Awesome place to get amazing infused olive oil and balsamic vinegar. A little pricey so minus one star on that count. Lovely food.

A great experience for those who really want to step outside the original flavours of balsamic and olive oil. There are over 100+ different types to choose from and you can easily sample every single one before purchasing. A sample size 80ml bottle costs about $5 just as an example. Staff are very knowledgeable and make excellent recommendations.

I love this olive oil store. Unfortunately with Covid there is no sampling which really is part of the experience. However, don't let that stop you for now. You can buy small bottles to decide what you like best. Personally, I prefer the dark balsamics over the whites. The pomegranate dark is amazing with the Persian lime olive oil. This time we got the blackberry ginger. I could just have this on it's own on lettuce and cukes. However, I always like to also ask for the most robust extra virgin olive oil. The staff suggested the Coratina from Chile. It is fantastic. Strong deep olive flavour with a slight bitterness at the end. My favourite way to enjoy specialty oils and vinegars is from my childhood experience in a restaurant in Chicago. The server put a big plate on the table and then poured olive oil on it. I watched as the yellow green pool grew bigger and bigger. Then they poured balsamic in the middle and it made the most beautiful shape. I asked my dad what to do and he showed me to simply dip bread in and eat! I suggest try just whatever oil you choose, then add the white/dark balsamic and try again. So hit this store then Bad Dog Bread across the main road and you will be set. Another visit we got the Picual oil from Spain and the Koreneiki oil from Chile and the fig balsamic. You will see in the picture, the Picual is lighter and has a grassy flavour. The Koreneiki is similar to the Coratina, but it was a bit sharper and bitter throughout. The fig balsamic has a wine-like flavour. All very delicious. Daniel

This shop have some amazing flavours of ink e oil and vinegar . The sampling is now open that was closed through Covid time . You can try and choose and the bottle it and seal it for you . It is so different from the olive oil and balsamic you buy cheap at Costco . I purchased Mango and Grapefruit vinegar . Wow ! Just add that to your spring mix or lettuce and you have a tasty salad . Support local business!
