About OJ's Halal Meat & Deli
Welcome to OJ’s Halal Meat and Deli! We are a family-owned, local butcher shop located in the Castle Downs neighbourhood in North Edmonton.
It’s been three decades since our family arrived in Canada, but our family business did not start there. To start, we have to go way back!
The family business technically started about 200 years ago back in our home country of Lebanon. The “original” Original Jomha’s still exists back home in Lala, Lebanon, where it’s just known as Jomha’s. Today, we proudly carry the same traditions from that iconic location right here in Edmonton.
As of today, there have been six generations of Jomha butchers. Nearly two centuries later, we still operate with the same passion for food, community, and family.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good prices. You have to be early or lucky because they run out of the good stuff quick. Their chicken and ground beef are their best priced items. Lamb is available too if you want a tasty treat. For halal meat they beat most big stores in price.

Their packaged meat is usually mixed (old and fresh) , I made that mistake twice already unfortunately but I had no choice. Today I made my second and last mistake and I will never buy from this store again, when I unwrapped the packaged meat that I bought today it was in 2 colors red fresh on top and green brownish in the bottom.
