My 6 year old daughter went through eye surgery two months ago and unfortunately it was not a success. The procedure itself seemed to go fine but unfortunately for us her eye turn was not resolved so we found ourselves back at the clinic 4 times to review and remeasure her eyes every time. I cannot begin to explain how obnoxious, rude, passively aggressive and completely lacking any empathy what so ever the receptionist is every time we are here. After all my daughter has been put through with surgery to come back to the clinic to be greeted with such lack of empathy and utter rudeness isn’t acceptable. This receptionist is giving this clinic a very bad reputation and from reading others reviews of this clinic it seems many other parents have had the same experience. We will most definitely be finding a new clinic for any future care for my family.

First off, yes there is one receptionist there that has a serious attitude problem. Second, my main reason for leaving this review, I took three of my kids there for many appointments over a few years, keep in mind we live 3 hours away, and they never actually Did anything except checkups. When we first went there we were told they would have surgery because it was required but it was never done. So we finally switched to somewhere else and that doctor was very disappointed that the surgery had not been done yet and he performed it right away and it was a great success. I would recommend everyone to find a different eye doctor. All these guys like is checkups and easy stuff it seems. Very disappointed. We wasted so much time and resources going here.

I had cataract surgery and I have to say that my experience has been excellent! I found the staff to be very helpful and knowledgable. The receptionist was very nice. Cathy was absolutely wonderful. Dr. Dotchin was very friendly and knowledgable and I trusted her completely to do my surgery. I had a great experience and have nothing but good things to say.

We've been going to this clinic for 5 years. It's been nothing but a hassle since day one... although there are many other instances, these have been the worst of it that would have me write this review. During COVID they wouldn't let me bring my younger child with us to the apt (no care available + he broke his leg and required round the clock care) This resulted going without an appointment for over a year and a half. We were told no exceptions. We live 1.5 away, morning Apts are impossible as there are too many delays and factors (tried it once, accident on DF..phoned and advised of the delay..was told no problem, arrived and could not been seen due to being 10 minutes late) I always make sure we are atleast an hour early everytime mind you. And recently, went in for what was a follow up apt to find out we were only seeing a technician for a few minutes and expected to come back in four days for another apt with Dr. Dotchin that we were not informed of...if we had of known i would have stressed that double bookings within a week are not possible and would have asked for another solution. Although i feel like that would be common sense. The receptionist told me they're booking into December so Unfortunately were looking elsewhere for a better fit for us. The level of customer service and satisfaction is a 0.

My child has a very complicated eye condition and I have to say that Oculus has been great. The front desk has been very responsive, my daughter always loves getting a prize after her appointment. Dr. Dotchin and her staff are always very patient with her, and seem to be able to get the best out of her. Sometimes Dr. Dotchin even sings to her. I know it takes long to get in to her, and we sometimes have to wait a bit, but well worth it.

I hardly ever leave reviews but felt compelled to write this one after reading all the prior reviews. Dr. Dotchin has been my daughter's doctor since she was 2 years old (for the past 9 years) and long before Oculus was formed. She is an exceptional specialist who has provided excellent care all these years. She is attentive, kind, patient and answers questions without ever making you feel like a burden. She has performed 2 surgeries over the years on my daughter's eye and with great success. My daughter was initially misdiagnosed by another highly "reputable" clinic and the late proper diagnosis has permanently affected my daughter's vision despite all treatments & procedures that have followed since. If we didn't find her after the misdiagnosis by others I know for a fact my daughter's vision would be in a far worse state. I have carried a great deal of resentment and anger for our medical system for a decade due to our specific situation but Dr. Dotchin has almost redeemed my faith that there still are great professionals out there. So if you are looking for an exceptional doctor, these reviews don't paint a just picture. That being said I have personally seen a big difference (decline) between how we were treated prior to Oculus and since Oculus opened. Since coming to Oculus, customer service has almost gone out the window. I have never felt welcomed or been nicely greeted by the front desk staff. Any time I have ever asked a question, tried to move up an appointment or requested to be added to a wait list, I feel dismissed or like my requests fall on deaf ears. There is a sense of not being valued as a patient and I understand how that can leave anyone aggravated. Our access to the doctor before was easier, felt more personable and my memories of the staff were wonderful. Everyone being great with kids, attentive, accommodating as much as they could etc. Maybe Covid has played a major role and has tested everyone's patience and tact, I am not sure. I do wish the clinic would look at and evaluate its contact and enagagment with everyone that enters the clinic because something is definitely lacking. Also I think it's crucial because it's negatively affecting all the wonderful staff and doctors who work behind the scenes.

If you love wearing masks, being spoken to rudely, and wasting your time, this is the place for you! Even though REAL DOCTORS and other ophthalmologists and optometrists are not requiring people to wear masks now that most mandates are done, these folks are all about them (although they were not wearing masks until we opened the door and they scrambled to put them on). They refused service to my 9 year old son as he enjoys breathing air unencumbered by potentially toxic materials produced in China that are proven to provide no protection but instead just show blind compliance to baseless mandates. Parking is terrible and expensive to top it off. Zero stars is a more appropriate rating but not an option on Google unfortunately.

I must say, after reading all the reviews I was hesitant prior to visiting this clinic. However, I can’t tell you how great the WHOLE team was! Sabrina, the receptionist that many talk about, has been amazing to deal with and very understanding. She is organized and aware of each situation. I couldn’t tell you anything I would change when dealing with her. Felicia (I believe that was her name) was amazing with our intake and was phenomenal with my young, toddler son. She truly understood how to get him to participate with her requests. Dr. Dotchin was impressive and very knowledgeable. She was very kind and attentive to us. The only thing I didn’t like was the parking situation (??‍♀️). The parking lot is cramped, full, and very tiny spots. So maybe leave the truck at home and take the tiny car. ?
