24/02/2020. I am writing a review to my initial post below because I was contacted by this clinic. I got a detailed engagement regarding how they care and respect their patients. The experience I had was unfortunately awful but with this benefit of the doubt and the follow up I received, I have accepted their apology. I will like to thank Christy very well for her understanding and level of professionalism. Healthcare institutions are designed to be life saving solution centers where empathy should be a watch-word. I will be re-visiting the same clinic today and I am hopeful for a better service. ___________________________________________ 11/02/2020 The worst ever clinic I have visited in my life. No compassion for client, very rude receptionist and unkind clinic supervisor. I have asked my doctor to kindly refer me to another clinic. Even if one is right, there are ways to address people. They just portray themselves as nunch of racist just for coming in 5min late for appointment trying to find parking space. Pls use other clinics guys. This bunch of unprofessional staff shouldn't be in an healthcare practise and the clinic owner should quickly review the kind of people they put at their front desk. Check the other people's review and confirm my statement. Anyone going to a clinic deserves respect and compassion. Good luck.

So impressed with this clinic and its staff! I had an appointment here and was nervous about my eye health but the staff and Doctor were very friendly, thorough, professional, and made me feel at ease. I also really enjoyed the beautiful and relaxing waiting room. Definitely recommend them and will go back for my follow-up!

I have been going to cloudbreak for about a year now due to chronic eye issues. Regardless of if I’m here when they are super busy or not, the staff is always extremely friendly and super efficient (especially considering every patient has to have multiple tests done). If you have any questions the staff will take the time to answer your questions just make sure you ask! I never see any of the staff sitting around doing nothing they are always hard at work. To anyone who has had a negative experience I find this so hard to believe. From the receptionist to the nurses to the doctors I have absolutely NOTHING bad to say. Even though dealing with chronic eye issues sucks, I always leave their office feeling better because they are so so friendly. (And I have been to multiple clinics to compare them too!!) I highlyyyyy recommend coming here.

I have been a patient of Dr Patrick Gooi since August 2020, he performed a GATT procedure on my right eye. Right eye has been better since then. He is very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions you ask him.

Whoever the main floor receptionist is, working at 11am on 01/20/21, needs a serious lesson on front line etiquette. My grandfather was booked 2 appointments first one was today and in the email it states he will not be seeing a doctor as its a baseline testing appointment. Upon entering she was cold and rude. When we gave her my grandfathers name she was insistent that we needed to know who our doctor was or else my grandfather wouldn't be seen. After explaining to her over and over again there was no doctor we had to finally pull up the email stating there was no doctor before she would drop it and get my grandfather checked in. You would think the very people who book these appointments would know whether or not a patient will be seen by a doctor or not wouldn't they? And not only did she not know the information and made no attempts to find out if my grandfather was actually assigned to a doctor or not, she decides she would rather threaten that he will not be seen and quite frankly that is infuriating. Thankfully we arrived early or else this receptionists antics would have made my grandfather late for his appointment and that is not right considering his doctor thought his condition was bad enough that he should be seen as soon as possible. I suggest you have a word with this woman as she is the first impression for your clinic, patients should feel welcome when arriving for their appointment and I can tell you she did the complete opposite! Edit to the owners comments: No, this was not the wrong clinic. I never said my grandfathers appointment was at 11am, we arrived there at 11am, his appointment was at noon. This is why I specified main floor reception as this is the first person you speak with when you enter the Southern Alberta Eye Center. Maybe she isn't an employee specifically of Cloudbreak but regardless she is a representation of your clinic considering she is the first point of contact.

I can’t say enough good about this exceptional place . I was referred for a significant problem and the level of care and compassion was second to none . The wait times were non existent as they escorted you from room to room and to every qualified compassionate technician and their specific machine. I jokingly told them I’m going to stop sitting between tests because it was easier to stand for 2 minutes then get up . Great care and very thorough explanations of what was to come alleviated all anxiety. Keep up the great work . Highly recommend

My two recent visits to the Cloudbreak office were by far some of the best medical/clinical experiences I have ever had! The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and the place ran like a well-oiled machine. I arrived on time for my appointments and didn't have to wait more than five minutes in the waiting room each time, which was amazing to me. Dr. Malcolm Gooi was extremely friendly and took the time to explain everything to me and answered all my questions and the staff who performed my eye scans were top notch! Note: The building has plenty of parking and to the reviewers who complained about having to pay $3 for three hours' parking, you've clearly never parked at a hospital or an airport before. :)
