When it was time to make some upgrades to our church audio for live streaming we were at a loss due to all the options. John asked us excellent questions and patiently listened as we explained what we wanted to do both short term and long term. He then devised a cost effective solution and answered all "why" the questions we had. He provided great value for money equipment choices and did the installation quickly and professionally. John did a fabulous job on training our volunteers on using the new equipment - comments from team members include: R.S. - I really appreciated how John combined the technical side of sound along with the perspective of a musician. John from Simply Sound is a fountain of knowledge. We had John come in to lead a training workshop with the volunteers who work in our A/V ministry and he did a fabulous job teaching them everything from how we hear to how best mix a worship service. John has also helped us with some diagnostics and repairs on our sound system. John is honest and reliable. The brewery at which I work as a contractor hired John from OCTAV to design acoustic treatment for the giant hall in which we have live music. John was easy to communicate with, designed beautiful work and explained the purpose of everything for us. It was a huge job. The room has incredibly high ceilings, it’s long and cavernous. The treatment that John designed for us was perfect. The space went from loud and untenable to pleasant and good sounding. Our customers and service staff would not be nearly as happy without John and his efforts. OCTAV is the best out there.

John and the team at Octav were nothing short of amazing to work with, and my studio has never sounded better! John was quickly able to pinpoint the root cause of the acoustical issues I had been facing in my 150 sq. ft studio, and worked within my budget to address them while explaining everything to me in plain language. They were readily available to me and worked around my schedule to successfully design and build a live-end/dead-end open concept studio space that is equally functional for both recording and mixing. I receive a lot of compliments on what we were able to achieve in such a small space, and I’m always proud to show it off. I honestly can’t say enough good things about Octav. ??

John, the founder of OCTAV is tremendously knowledgeable and worked with us to provide exactly what we needed for our studio. As we ended up performing the construction during the lockdown (not planned), he was extremely helpful in helping to provide a great installation while also being mindful of a tightened budget. The advice and information he's provided that was well beyond the scope of this project has made OCTAV my "go to" for any acoustic questions, concerns, and when I'm looking to upgrade the acoustics in our other studio. They worked to provide not only a great product, but a great experience, which is often as valuable in a construction project as the work itself.
