β β β β β The folks at Octagon really came through for me today when I needed something quickly. Iβm not from the area and they knew I wasnβt going to be generating repeat business, but they went above and beyond anyway.
The shop is clean, well organized, and staffed with knowledgeable and friendly mechanics. I absolutely wish we had a shop even half as good as Octagon back home.

β β β β β The Volvo dealership wanted $1,200 to replace my Volvo caliper when they couldn't bleed the brakes. Octagon got the bleeder valve unstuck and finished the job with no extra parts/work and saved me a lot of money. These guys are honest to a fault and won't let you spend a penny more than needed. Since they work on classic cars they know how to actually FIX your car instead of rushing to replace parts and markup your bill. I've used them for a couple years and am always impressed with their professionalism and service. I'd enthusiastically recommend them to anyone for any car, modern and classic alike!

β β β β β My wife brought in her familyβs Porsche Boxter and got fleeced by this shop. $1,500+ bill for a regular oil change and check up. They squeezed every penny out of this visit. 5.5 hrs of labour, all new filters, etc plus a roof part for an issue she merely asked them to look at it. At no point, were these added costs (that made up over half the total bill) discussed, quoted or approved. It felt dishonest and unprofessional. If youβre not a car enthusiast and come off ignorant about cars - watch out! Based on our experience youβll be taken to the cleaners.

Once, I thought I blew out my new clutch, and was thankful that Sean was honest with me and it ended up being just the throw-out bearing.
