The staff, particularly Eddy (who seems to be the receptionist) is particularly rude to patients/ clients. I was lectured by the receptionist to utilize "logic" when asking questions; which a customer service person should be providing to callers without being rude.

The doctors here are great in every way however, Ocean Medical is notorious for being late. I only go in with an appointment, and typically wait 45-60 mins before seeing a doctor. Been going there for years, and have never once been seen on time. I am not sure why they accept walk-in patients when they clearly do not have the capacity for it.

The most unbelievably rude man answered a phone call from a family member of a 97 year old patient requesting to speak to their doctor about some concerns. The phone call ended up in the man who answered the phone verbally abusing a patients family member and then hanging up. If I could give less than 0 stars I would. To think this is the care and service patients and their families are receiving, I would suggest this practise, or at least receptionist needs some serious customer service training. Absolutely disgraceful.

The staff here are really patient and approachable. I notice that this clinic often gets busy which I believe is a positive thing because a lot of people trust the doctors and team here. I am also thankful to Dr. Purewal for taking time to really listen to clients’ concerns and explain treatments that’s why I understand why she gets past her timing sometimes. As patients, we need to be patient as well. ?

My family doctor works here and she is good, however the reception staff is...unbelieveablely unprofessional. Everytime i call, if i am unlucky, a male receptist picks the call. Then here the hell starts. This guy's protocol is: 1. he asks you to go to their website to make an appointment without knowing what you are even asking; 2. he asks you to go to lifelabs website to make an appointment as a second try; 3. he hang up the phone or pass it to someone else if he finds the caller does not give up I was scheduled for an appointment earlier May, my family doctor prescribeld me a test and said she will be send the form to my email. After two weeks i did not heard back anything from them so i have to call. This dude ask me to book an appointment on their website first, i told him i had one and just want to get the updates, he then said 'you should go to lifelab instead of calling us' HOW? i need a form to book that test! he then said 'just make an appointment on lifelabs website', i was so tired of it and said 'sorry i don't think you understanded what i was saying: my doctor should give me a form so i can go to the lab, but i didn't reveice one'. I think i accidentlly triggered him: he sounds more annoyed than me and replied 'you go speak to the receptist' and pass the phone to another lady. It turned out they forgot to send me the form 2 weeks ago. I can understand everyone makes mistakes, i give two stars instead of one because this lady admited the mistake and applogized to me. And i have an advise to the male receptist: if you really hate this job, quit it and do something which makes you happier. You are working with people who are suffering from pain and stress, they should not and cannot take anymore from your unprofessionalism.

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a walk-in clinic. I had hand surgery and after first night was experiencing a lot more pain so thought it might be infected. The "doctor" requested that I remove the bandages while he left the room!! I even attempted to do that with my good hand before thinking... this is stupid. When he returned he said - oh I see you haven't removed your bandages/cast yet! Maybe he expected me to rebandage as well. If I could give zero stars I would.

Here is a review I wish I didn't have to write. The incompetence of the front-of-office staff has led to the following disappointing event. In April, I bought a lovely Thank You card and ordered a big, bright bouquet of flowers for my primary care doctor. The florist created something that looked like a huge present, and tucked the card inside with the blooms. She called several times to check that my doctor would be there before sending the bouquet. It took many tries and she finally got the information. The courier delivered it -- handed it to someone INSIDE the office. All of this was documented for quality control. A month after the delivery, I had a telephone appointment with my doctor and asked her if she received her flowers. She was surprised, and said she received my lovely card but no flowers. I double-checked that the florist and the courier did their jobs properly and found that they did. I tried to call the office to find out what happened. Because someone obviously reached inside the bouquet to pull out the card. Why was it separated from the flowers? But it was impossible to get through. Their outgoing message states that they no longer accept phone calls. What kind of a medical office does that?? I tried to let this go but I find the incompetence impossible to accept. My energy, time, and money was wasted. Someone else took advantage of it and I can't do anything about it. It is so very disappointing. Given the bad reviews I've read about their front-of-office staff, I doubt that anything will change.
