In 2017 we were building a house and opted to go "high end" with the GE Cafe series with the Notre Dame Boys. We brought in our floor plans and had great help ... sort of. The fridge we needed was counter depth but the service rep sold us a deeper model. I didn't know any better so when installation came we were stuck. We went to ND Boys and were only able to purchase a model for an additonal $2000. Ok, that is on us I guess?? Next comes the dishwasher. Less than 3 years into the home, we have had 3 repairman visits. The last visit declared the dishwasher a write-off. Not to worry we have the extended warranty we purchased ... but it only covers cost we paid. We have to pay taxes again, installation again. And of course the current model is $600 more. The dishwasher was leaking lots, and pooled under the kitchen counters ruining the floor in the adjacent room(that's how we knew it was leaking). Very disappointed in the experience. No need to buy local. No need to shop "high end".

Maureen was very helpful. My parents are looking for new furniture and she answered a lot of their questions. They carry Lazy Boy which I love.

They have really nice stuff. I am a senior citizen on fixed income. In August the government gave us seniors $500.00 extra. I desperately needed a living room chair. Found one at their store that looked suitable but a lot more than my $500.00. Delivery was great plus they took away the old chair. However, because of different lighting in the store verses my home, the chair’s colour clashed horribly. I therefore asked to exchange for a different colour and was told that I would need to pay a restocking fee of 20 percent, plus another delivery charge. I was ok with the other delivery charge but a restocking fee above that??? For an exchange? That is sheer robbery. I was furious but they decided to charge me only a portion so I paid but left crying I worked selling furniture for many years. We had the best reputation in Ottawa. RESTOCKING fees were never part of our vocabulary, and certainly not even thought of for an exchange. I feel I was taken advantage of because of my age and if this is a store policy, it’s a wonder they can stay in business I know a lot of people and I have spread the word. Notre Dame Boys will never see again. Customer Service usually pleases the customer They obviously make sure you never go back. Great for business.

Great in store service - this is obvious for sales purposes. In store I was promised the delivery of new appliances along with the removal of the old appliances and the hook up of the new appliances for an extra charge. The delivery guys were great. Unfortunately they were never trained how to Hook up the dryer on the side and they do not carry any tools to actually do the job - because they were not trained. No leveling of the washer or dryer (need a level for this)… no metal tape to seal the dryer vent back up. No wrench or vice grips to hook up the water lines. Unfortunately services were offered that could not be fulfilled upon delivery. When asked for a refund, the managers response was that 'anything else (on top of a delivery) is a bonus'. The manager then said he would send his men back to pick up the new appliances, which I agreed to on condition that they bring back in my appliances they took out. He said they will NOT bring in the appliances they took out. I told them to stay off my property in that case and leave things as they were. I ended the conversation before it got to carried away over $50. Regardless, this is poor customer support. I suggest you stop offering services you cannot fulfill. Simply state you will deliver, remove and put in place - customer to hook up.. - and ensure everyone including your sales team are in the same page. I am a strong believer in customer support and this was a real poor experience. Needless to say, you have lost a potential returning customer over $50.

Helpful staff selling lazy boy furniture. However after purchasing $4000 + for 3 prices of furniture, one of the chair arms came loose within a week of having it. I’m told that the they don’t service outside of the city and I must bring in the chair for servicing. I’m only 75km from the store and they do deliveries on occasion which would cover the gas. Hell, I’d even cover the gas as now I must find a truck that can accommodate the chair since my car will not. After looking at the underside of the furniture itself it does appear to be made with cheap particle board. I could have paid 1000 for a 3 piece cheapie set at the Brick if I wanted particle board. Perhaps Lazy Boy isn’t the quality that it advertises and perhaps the Norte Dame Boys should review their sales policy to ensure customers are aware of the servicing limitations.

We just bought a GE dishwasher here. It is great and the people at The Notre Dame Boys are top notch. They gave us great service, clean showroom, and they actually had it in stock!!! They lost one star because they got some of my money ?
