★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to check out the hot foods table and picked up a breaded veal cutlet with a side of quinoa salad. The salad was fine but the veal cutlet wasn't very flavorful. It was overpriced for what you were getting unfortunately. I still like to shop the bakery section but I think that's as far as I'll go now.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is not the first time this has happened when I'm at Nortown but it happened again today. The lady that was wiping down the clear glass (maybe plexiglass) display cases sprays Windex directly onto the display case rather than on the rag she is wiping with. These cases have small gaps (maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch) between each other and the Windex easily goes through the cases and onto the food being displayed. It is unfathomable to me how management allows this. Windex is contaminating the food!!!! I did speak to the lady responsible and she just tried to shrug it off, denying that she did it when I clearly observed it happening. I should be reporting this to York Region Health Dept.
Nortown Management: firstly, you should speak to your staff about procedure for cleaning those cases. Secondly, a vinegar and water mix is just as effective and will NOT contaminate food if some of trickles upon some of the food being sold. I'll be shopping at Concord or Brunos for the next while as this is completely unacceptable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice little store with good bakery but unfortunately I had a bad experience with the cashier and the bagging lady, first of all let me just say that I wasn't expecting to be treated special or anything like that, just normal greeting would suffice
I get none of that, they were busy chatting and ignored me when I said hi, no eye contact whatsoever, not even a thank you and the cashier just dropped the receipt on the table all the while busy chatting amongst themselves without even acknowledging me, I got better service in a no frills or food basics tbh ??

I can understand if people want food delivered, there's a few. But I ordered online to pick up the food at the store, and had to pay an additional "convenience fee" of $9.95. What "convenience" was I paying for? BIG thumbs down!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love going to Nortown promenade! The meats are perfect cuts, and have amazing friendly butchers. I love how they will clean the chicken (trim fat, cut/tip wings, etc).For the undecided of what to have or how to make something, they are great with making suggestions too. I love the pre-made side dishes as well, so many options to choose from. The bakery section also has delicious choices.
