โ โ โ โ โ A clean dojo + Gracie University curriculum + certified instructors = NVBJJ. I visited many BJJ dojos before choosing NVBJJ. I love the focus on self-defence rather than sport. Also the well defined curriculum + online access to Gracie University makes the learning process much more manageable for beginners like me. Marc and Ray are not only great practitioners of the art but also especially gifted teachers (this applies to all instructors here but I mainly interact with the two due to my schedule). An optimal learning environment with lots of fun.

โ โ โ โ โ I consider North Vancouver Brazilian Jiu Jitsu a special school. The enthusiasm of Marc Marins about Jiu-Jitsu is contagious and creates a great and positive environment. He is an amazing person and skilled instructor, who really cares about his students. All techniques are demonstrated with clarity and can also be reviewed in the Gracie Academy website. I enjoy every minute I am there! I highly recommend this school!

โ โ โ โ โ Since first class of Jiu-Jitsu in NVBJJ I knew it was the right place.
The atmosphere there is amazing! The instructor, Marc, is a greatest teacher I have ever met. I can tell that every class I learn a lot of technique and philosophy of Jiu-Jitsu as well. It is really a pleasure to train with such great people in this place full of space and positive vibes. I am so thankful that one day I came to NVBJJ.
It is a best place to improve yourself.

โ โ โ โ โ The fundamentals syllabus is a great way to learn the basics of BJJ and develop a solid base and 'good habits' to build upon. Marc is also a very knowledgable and patient practitioner who can teach effectively at all levels.
The Club has a positive culture which makes you feel very welcome and encourages to keep training. You are encouraged to progress, however you choose the pace.

โ โ โ โ โ I have been studying martial arts for over 25 years. Many of those years teaching. I have had the privilege of learning from some pretty amazing instructors and training with great fellow martial artists over these years. I stepped into NVBJJ last year and have found a new home. Mark and Liz run a great Gracie Jiu Jitsu program. The level of instruction is the highest that I have experienced. The entire school has a great atmosphere and energy and all of the other instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful as well. It truly is the highlight of my day. They also have an excellent children's program that my nieces and nephews have been attending for a number of years.
As for the facilities, very very clean which is an absolute must for any martial arts club. Mats are always clean and disinfected regularly.

โ โ โ โ โ North Vancouver Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is an incredible martial arts gym. The head instructor and owner of the gym is one of the greatest teachers of any subject I have studied. Marc, along with the rest of the teaching staff, have done an amazing job creating a safe and fun learning environment for all. No matter how much experience you have, there is a class suited for you. Gracie Jiu Jitsu is so beneficial for both physical and mental health, and if you have ever been curious what all the hype is aboutโthis is the place to start!

โ โ โ โ โ Iv been training there for over a year and it has been an excellent experience. Lots of support, very welcoming, and a very strong community of martial artists. 100% recommended to anyone. There are different programs for different people. Beginners, children, women, and people with experience.
