★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to an intro class with Leo and it was fantastic! I had never done Jiu Jitsu before and was a little nervous, but Leo explained things really well and led the class in a way that people of all levels could follow & succeed. Would definitely come again and highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the BEST school on the lower mainland for BJJ classes. The classes are challenging, focused, and fun. Professor Leandro offers so much knowledge from training in Brazil and is always pushing you to be your best.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Being a part of GB NorthVan family has been one of the best decisions I’v ever made for my two kids and myself. The whole GB Nvan team leaders including Professor Leo, along with Coach Anthoy, Athos, Tyler etc.. are amazing. So grateful to have these mentors for my kids to look up to and to teach them how to be respectful, to self-discipline etc..
The gym is always filled with positive energy and has the band of brothers like vibe which I appreciate.
Strongly recommend everyone to check it out!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I highly recommend Gracie Barra North Vancouver. Professor Leandro is an amazing instructor. He is great with children and has been so good about making my son feel included. He’s patient and encouraging. Plus I do the adult classes and it’s the most fun I’ve ever had. Brazilian jiu jitsu is an amazing workout and very practical for self defence. I’ve never really taken martial arts before, but now want to make it a regular part of my life. I can’t recommend Gracie Barra enough. Come give it a try!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very welcoming, friendly place to come in and learn/ train with great people, even as a total beginner. With their deep knowledge and experience, Prof. Leandro and his coaching team (coach Anthoni/ Coach Tyler) always provide awesomely sincere learning experience which I and my two boys greatly appreciate. Highly recommended for physical, and more importantly, for the mental health. Sound mind, sound body.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ That's the one best art martial gym in the north shore. Very friendly staff, amazing instructor. I've been doing since they opened, and I also brought my daughter and it's been helping with focus and value of the brotherhood. Love this gym, highly recommended, very family based.

He teaches the new skills each session in a fun positive way. My kids adore all of the instructors and they have gained confidence and empowerment since starting just a few months ago.
