Sounds like Riverb might be a little racist. I have been seen by both sonographers at this office and have not had any issues. I was on time for both my appointments and was dealt with in a polite and professional manner. Obviously you must have been late or not prepared for your exam.

My first experience was horrible here. The front staff took some convincing, they seemed more bothered by and questioned my presence. Sure the mall is a high transit area but I am literally standing there with a referral form. I guess they feel need to keep their guard up when indigenous people come into the door. The lady that did do my image scan, I forgot to get her name, was really the epitome of problematic health care. She concentrate more on getting in and out the door, which I felt was not very welcoming in general. I did not feel safe at all. Very low quality of care. Controlling, condescending and paternalistic. The Older lady, was most likely a product of or influenced by the social consciousness of the praire that maintains a highly racist "quality" of care for indigenous peoples, (BUH). However, the second visit a man from India helped me and was so caring and compassionate in general. Really delicate when it came to the need of my ultra sound and even talked about family and explained the process. If you go here, ask for him. On my follow up visit to the medical centre just next door, they said they were not affiliated with the imaging centre. However, did imply they get complaints. I suspect most likely because I did assume the doctors did have a say at what was going on over there and i suspect many other do. As a indigenous person I won't be going back, I am making the trip to Saskatoon for my future medical imaging and referring family to Saskatoon also. If you are white passing, then by all means go here, it may work out smoother
