Megan is a passionate, empathetic and educated nutritionist. Her assessments are thorough and she is committed to providing nothing but complete and practical direction that will be moulded to your life story. I enjoy every session with Megan and she is changing our life around, for the betterment of my 11 year old daughter. My family is trying new recipes and I am getting wins where traditionally the response would have been β€œI don’t like that”. I am so very grateful for this connection. Thank you Megan ?!!!!!

Megan was and is incredible to work with. She takes the time to get to know her clients not only for a proper diagnosis but because she cares! Incredibly professional, knowledgeable and all around amazing person. I was scheduled to go and have a surgery because of traditional medical recommendations and with Megan's help I no only didn't need to have the surgery I am living a healthier lifestyle. I referred a patient to Megan who wanted to lose weight and reduce her inflammatory pain. Her busy work schedule and home life made it difficult for her to follow a set program. A couple months after I gave the referral my patient she came back and had lost over 25 pounds and had significantly less pain! If you are considering seeing a nutritionist I highly recommend Megan!

Thanks to Megan Barefoot of No Shoes Nutrition, my life has changed for the better. Prior to working with Megan, I was dog tired all the time, had nothing left to give at the end of my workday and I found myself 30 pounds over my healthy weight. In addition to being tired, I was stressed and anxious and always worried about everything. I was not interested in following a fad diet. I wanted to be educated in nutrition and change my lifestyle so that it would be sustainable over time. Megan took the time to understand and assess my situation. She wasted no time in putting an action plan in place and worked with me to set reasonable/achievable goals. Throughout my journey with Megan, I felt supported. Megan was by my side through the ups and downs and was a constant cheerleader for my success. In 6 short months, I have lost 34 pounds but more importantly, I feel fabulous! I no longer am tired with no energy. I wake up in the morning energized and ready for my day. My family now has a wife and mom that is taking care of herself so that she can enjoy her time with them. "I was always one to base my health on the number on the scale. I weighed myself almost every morning, which determined how I would eat for that day. My goals with Megan were to lose some weight, but more importantly, learn to eat healthier and be confident reading food nutrition labels so I could make healthy choices. When I started with Megan and did my initial measurements and weigh in, I vowed not to weight myself again until the end of the three months. I found an exercise program I enjoyed and dedicated myself to working out 5x weeks. Megan coached me on how to satisfy my snacking habits with healthy alternatives. Over the course of three months, I tried new foods which were out of my comfort zone. I increased my water intake. I logged each meal on my fitness pal. To be honest, I couldn't give up my love of chocolate, so I learned how to fit it into my diet so I could still enjoy this treat. I slowly started seeing a change when I was working out and happened to glance in the mirror. Colleagues at work mentioned I looked healthier. I could tell that my clothes were fitting differently. I resisted stepping on the scale. Megan helped me thru the Christmas season. I allowed myself a few indulges and then back to a healthy diet after the holiday. By the end of my three month journey, I had a good grasp of how to control my own eating habits. I learned which foods were the better choice. Eating healthy had become the routine instead of the exception. The most surprising result was when I stepped back on the scale. I had GAINED 1 pound since starting my journey. Before meeting Megan, this would have put me into a panic -- what did I eat that I wasn't supposed to? Do I need to increase the amount of exercise I'm doing? Is it the start of an upward trend that I need to control? All false!!! My body measurements showed that I had LOST 9.5 inches! My healthy eating and regular exercise had paid off, but not in the way I had expected. The number on the scale is not an indication of a weight loss win -- but instead the way my clothes fit, what I see in the mirror and how good I feel is the true indication that I am making healthy progress. In retrospect, while I learned all I wanted about nutrition and the benefit of regular exercise, I learned something much more valuable. I learned not to let the scale consume my eating habits, that there are many more variables that show I am on the right track. Thank you Megan!!"

My life is better after working with Megan at No Shoes Nutrition. The initial assessment was thorough and so revealing. I learned so much about how my food choices were affecting my whole body and my moods. With some education and targeted changes to my meals I noticed a difference in how I was feeling, and I also lost some of the pounds that I wanted. The changes were easy once I understood the actual reason why they made sense for my body. I'm on a better path thanks to you.

First off, I want to say Megan is phenomenal at what she does and my wife and I really believe that the positive lifestyle changes she was able to help us implement were an important part of working through our fertility issues. We looked at all aspects of our lives when trying to get pregnant again and don't think it is in any way a coincidence that we were able to get pregnant while working with her. I also wanted to make a commented about her price versus her value. There was a bit of sticker shock when we got our initial quote with Megan, but this was strictly due to the fact that I had never done any research on working with a nutritionist. After working with her, and seeing the level of support, knowledge, detail, and time spent with us this was one of the cheapest investments we have ever made in ourselves. Thanks Megan!
