A	Alisa Berman on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Richard is arrogant and lacks professionalism, he was late to our meeting, did not listen to my wishes and lacked any regard for my instruction. Niman is prompt at answering and will bill you for extra time wherever possible. I hired Richard to represent me, at our first meeting he had a second lawyer take notes for him then charged me for twice the service never disclosing she will handling my file. While knowledgeable, his service manner is very poor and I would not recommend Richard Niman or his lawyer to anyone seeking real professional lawyers who have solutions and can get matters resolved in a timely reasonable manner, nor would I ever use their services again.

Going through a divorce and family court can not only be stressful, but it forces someone to be exposed on an extremely vulnerable level, especially if he/she is a very private person. Chris Mamo not only made me feel comfortable and grounded while I was under duress, but he offered encouragement, support and empathy, which is rare to find. Chris Mamo has exceeded my expectations and I am grateful to have had him and Harold Niman representing me. Legal documents can quickly become confusing and overwhelming, but he was very patient and took the time to explain everything in a way that I would understand. From beginning to end, it was evident that I had a firm looking out for my best interests, and while I hope I never have to hire them in the future (don't want to divorce), I would not hesitate to do so. However, his associate Hayley Cairns, who dealt with me on most matters like with emails and trial prep, was inattentive to detail and prone to misunderstandings. It is important for everyone to realize that Richard Niman does most trials and conferences with an associate, which can increase the cost of your overall litigation. There are pros/cons to this method if money is not an issue. Lastly, while Richard is competent and gets the job done, I observed a lack of sympathy/empathy as we approached key dates which were stressful for me.

Harold Niman was originally engaged, however my lead counsel was Christopher Mamo. The work done by Chris on this file for almost 3 years was simply exceptional.
