On Wednesday March 16 2022 my dog Titan was having a hard time walking and throwing up white foam and just wanted to lay outside and not move. I called the vet and she said we are concerned about bloating. So they said bring him in right away so I did when I arrived they took Titan in right away and did exrays and he had a twisted stomach. They called me outside and were already getting Titan ready for surgery. Titan would not be with me right now. I am so blessed to have this vet available. I give thanks to these vets who are also on the front line. I want to thank you for the amazing service and care you gave Titan. This vet did an excellent job. Good work. Titan thanks you.

We’ve been here 3 times in the last year and a half and every single time the staff and vet have been amazing. They are so kind and compassionate. The vets always take the time to talk to us, discuss what’s going on, and help make a medically informed decision. Cannot say how grateful we are for the entire team at NVEC. If any of the team sees this, thank you so much, you are all so appreciated!

I took my senior cat to the Niagara Veterinary Emergency Clinic at the suggestion of my primary vet. My experience with the staff there was absolutely amazing as they cared so much for my girl and quickly diagnosed her condition and were able to get her into surgery at my primary vet yesterday when I wasn’t able to afford the bill with them. They were caring and understanding and completely loved my Mumbles so much. Thanks to you and the Dunnville team, my Mumbles is making a good recovery!

I attended this ER vet clinic twice for my male anatolian GSD mix. His name was Bandit. The first time he randomly got sick and the vet took us in immediately, ensuring they followed through with anything they could do. The office was informative, the vet and staff were really kind, accommodating with covid 19 being present, and always asked my approval before they did any xrays, treatments, etc. the vet office gave me samples of a probiotic for Bandit, which Really helped him. Unfortunately within the span of 3 months i was back at the ER vet. I stayed up with Bandit since 3am, noticing he was dizzy and lethargic, entirely different than his happy self. I called the er vet and communicated that i took his temp at home, and it was 104.2 which really scared me and my family. We took him to the er vet straight away since they are a 24hr ER clinic. I spent an hour waiting, sitting under a tree with Bandit, doing what i could to keep him comfy while we waited for his appt. Things took a downward speak very quickly. Two vets were assisting Bandit, Dr. Price and another vet whom i cannot recall but both were amazing. they called to inform me he had developed a large mass, about 10inch size, that was pressing against his spinal column, and he needed treatment ASAP. this news was heartbreaking. I spoke with the vet, asking questions, what we could do, how to approach such a devastating diagnosis, and she informed i could move forward with treatment for cancer, as it was likely to be malignant, or allow Bandit to cross the rainbow bridge. i asked for some time to collectively discuss with the family, as Bandit was such an emotional, sensitive soul that being away from family really upset him. He developed Depression easily. The family and i decided not putting Bandit through that rigorous, hard, treatment for cancer would be the best thing. my family and i reside in st. Catharines and we would have to go to mississauga or Toronto that day, too get him started for treatment. He was only 7, but i could sense and read he really was not feeling well. he hardly lifted his ears, hardly moved, could barely walk bec the pressure on his spine. he was in very rough shape and there was no guarantee the treatment would work. :( When i called the er clinic back with our decision, the receptionist asked if we were helping Bandit to cross the rainbow Bridge today, and through tears she remained so assuring. i got to speak with dr. Price again, she comforted me on the phone, assured me both herself and the other vet believed this decision was the right one too, it was best for Bandit. the staff were amazing, kept in contact with me throughout the entire time Bandit was there, and even offered me to take him home for a bit, until we were ready to say goodbye. My family decided it was best to let him go, without the last visit. I spent alot of time with him sitting under the tree waiting for the clinic staff. I talked with him and told him how much i loved him before letting the vet staff take him into the clinic overall it was such a heartbreaking day, but the staff involved made it easier to cope with and understand what was going on. I also received a condolences card from the ER vet clinic in the mail, regarding the loss of Bandit I appreciate the clinic and all it does. The staff has a passion for helping, they care about each animal that comes through the door and are always willing to provide details, suggestions, and explain even the hard news in a kind manner. Thank you ER clinic and staff. You helped my family and i with such a tough decision, you did not leave out details of the diagnosis, you were honest, straight forward, sympathetic, kind, caring. , and most importantly you helped Bandit.

The staff are beyond kind. We lost our beloved Nala Friday early morning. They helped talk me through the final moments with my beloved dog. There kind words and support were everything we needed at that time. The compassion and support they provided us was so greatly appreciated. Price is fair and after life accommodations are beautiful. Thank you for helping us.

A few nights back, Stella, my Boston Terrier was in distress. She was panting heavily and looking panicked. We called four different emergency vets in Burlington, Hamilton, Oakville, and Brantford, and none of them could take her. We called Niagara Veterinary Emergency Clinic, and although they were quite busy and short staffed, they told us to bring her in. They took her in immediately and stayed in contact by phone the entire time so we knew what was going on. They performed X-rays and explained what they could see and what they suspect might be an issue with her. We made plans to bring her back for an ultrasound a couple of days later, which unfortunately revealed some very sad news. They sent the images to our regular vet so we can go over them and decide on a course of action. Moments ago I received a call from NVEC asking how she was doing. I must say this clinic truly, truly cares about the animals put in their care. It means so much to a pet owner to have empathetic professionals caring for their furry family members. If we lived closer, this would be our regular vet clinic, but it is certainly nice to know that they are there in case of emergencies. Although the news was bad, it's nice to have the information so we can monitor her and decide how to proceed. Thank you so much NVEC for your caring and compassion!

Brought our kitten in who ended up needing an emergency surgery. Everyone I spoke to and interacted with was so thorough and caring. Dr. Kristina was so empathetic and gave us constant information and updates, and helped us to make the right medical choices for our little guy. A huge thank you to her and Dr. Price who performed Kingsley's surgery, and to Mitch who was so busy helping other pet parents, but arranged for me to spend a quick 5 minutes with Kingsley before his surgery. Thank you Niagara Veterinary Emergency Clinic!

The first weekend of December I had an emergency with my elderly dog who was not doing well, we were there 2x a day that weekend and the staff was extremely compassionate and understanding with us. They treated my best friend with respect and were very gentle with him and honest and straightforward with me which was incredibly appreciated. They gave me honest advice and answered all of my questions (there were many). Dr Shepherd was the first doctor he saw the first night we were in, she was honest about his prognosis but also was very kind and went with it when I requested more tests and information. Edith (one of the people who answers the phone) was also so kind to me when I broke down in tears on the phone with her multiple times and did not treat us like we were a hassle. There were many other lovely vet techs who came and got my sweetie on a gurney and we're awesome with him but I don't remember other names! Thank you so much to the staff who were working that weekend. Andee went home to our other family already waiting for him in heaven Monday evening on December 6th (after some frustrating drama with our regular vet) and I've wanted to call and say thank you to the people at the emergency vet clinic but things have been hard and busy around here. Thank you for not making a hard situation more difficult on us!! **And just a heads up to everyone else, the prices are super high but they are very straightforward on the phone before doing any procedures so you are not shocked with the costs. They made sure I knew the price of everything before going through with things which helped me prepare myself for the bill.
