D	Don Pederson on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Take out portions are ridiculously small. I have heard that when they first opened the portions were a decent size. NOT now! I haven't done many ratings and this is the first One Star. No more getting ripped off for me!
K	Ken McIntyre on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dirty food! If your looking for well cooked, fresh food.... it's not here. I called for delivery at 5:33 PM. I didnt actually receive my order until 7:37 PM. And what the served me was dry, over cooked, burned sugar taste, and over all not worth the $100 I had to spend. Look at the pictures and decide if this is appetizing to you before ordering. Dirty food! They don't clean the intestine out of the shrimp. I don't like eating poo!!! Hey New Empress, if you care about what your customers think and want people to return to your restaurant, consider addressing some of the issues in your reviews. I will not order again and I will tell everyone I know to read my review.

Even after they moved out of Rutland we make the drive to Glenmore for it instead of ordering from somewhere nearby. Tonight we picked up our order and it was like it came from a different restaurant. Tiny portions of S&S Pork and Ginger Beef, both swimming in sauce. Bland tasting. Very disappointing. We will be exploring more places closer to home from now on.

They battered and double fried a spring roll and called it a egg roll.. gross Fried Chicken balls were soggy Noodles were mushy. Felt like yesterday's food reheated. Embarrassing delivery... 95% hit the garbage. Won't order here again... also was denied any credit back. But offer for 15% off next order.. ya no thanks.

Recently however, something changed, and the portions are now seemingly half of what they used to be and are abysmal for the price (containers are half full). The flavour and consistency of the food has also changed, and is really not worth the price they are asking. The spring rolls have a soapy after taste, the breaded almond chicken is drier than a match stick, & the chow mein is overly starchy and 1/2 cooked. Unfortunately we will not be going back, and will now be searching for another Chinese restaurant to try.

We ordered a single combination B and E less than 1hr before closing time and hubby and I split the combos between each other. I have to say the chicken balls and almond chicken was a bit dry (definitely needs sauce to eat) which is why the 4 stars instead of 5. HOWEVER, one of the best food for everything else. The ginger beef and sweet and sour pork was light and crispy and well sauced (and not soggy) and the meat was tender and juicy. Everything had loads of flavour and the 2 combinations was more food than we could eat. Our family get together usually consists of ordering a dinner for 8 (for 11 people) at another very well known Asian restaurant on hwy 97 but we definitely will be passing along ordering the dinner for 8 here next time and see how they fair. Will definitely be ordering here again. By the way I lived many years in Ottawa so I've had real Cantonese food and from what we've tried this is the closest one I've tried in Kelowna. Sorry no photos because it was too good to stop long enough to take one.
