I've been going to the Winfield Chinese Restaurant for YEARS and have never been disappointed. They prepare all their vegetable dishes fresh, and the almond chicken (my favorite) has more chicken than batter, unlike the other Chinese restaurant that's about 2/3 batter, 1/3 chicken. The owner is amazing. She remembers all our likes and dislikes and pretty much recites our orders to us to save us the trouble of having to speak :) One of my favorite restaurants.

We ordered from here last night as we had a craving for Chinese. Overall, the food wasn’t terrible but it certainly wasn’t great. We ordered 5 dishes for our family of 4 to share: 2 Chicken Chow Meins, Shredded Ginger Beef, Honey Garlic Pork and Kung Pao Chicken. Our order cost $80 which was quite expensive compared to other take out options (like Made in India). The Chicken Chow Mein was quite dry and bland. It was just plain noodles with pieces of boiled chicken on top and needed soy sauce to have any flavour. The Kung Pao chicken wasn’t what we’re used to... we expected breaded deep-fried chicken in Kung Pao sauce, but we got chunks of boiled unbreaded chicken with unidentifiable veggies and cashews in an odd tasting sauce. It kind of smelled like feet. The other two meat dishes were as expected... breaded meats in tasty sauces, albeit a little on the tough side. On the upside, the order was correct, food was hot, and the restaurant was very clean. I think next time we crave Chinese we will try Chopsticks.

Amazingly fresh food, lots of meat in the Chop Suey, lots of food and the meat to batter ratio is on point; also VERY affordable!!!!

Definately not my favorite but it is okay. The price is good if you get a dinner combo. Chopsticks in lake country is much better in my opinion. The sweet and sour pork is really really really good here. But the chicken chow mein is the worst I've had.. not good at all. I also am a big almond chicken fan but find it better and more crisp from other places.

This is hands down the best Chinese food I have ever had. Everything was cooked perfectly, it was hot and delicious. It wasnt to pricy and the service was wonderful. I went insode to pick up the food and the interior is gorgeous. Walls covered in big paintings and would be a great place to dine in. Also, i have never liked spring rolls, but my meal for 2 dinner, came with deep fried spring rolls that are to die for. I also ordered chicken chow main with real strips of white meat chicken, sweet and sour pork, and deep fried prawns. 10/10

This is consistently the best Chinese food in the Okanagan! The spring rolls are authentic and the best I've ever had! We love the beef and brocolli and sweet and sour pork too!

Very disappointing threw most of it out. Chow Mein take out is a container of squashed PLAIN dry over cooked noodles that literally come out in a dried up clump for $18.00. On top of the clump they put a few toppings (very few) NONE is mixed into the over cooked dried out noodles--just put on the very top to appear like it is Chow Mein. Just awful never again. Tried a few times and always regret it--very surprised about the good reviews. Wish I had taken a picture before tossing out. Go to Chop Sticks.

We order take-out from here all the time. It's by far the best Chinese food in Lake Country and is also by far the best value for money. Having been to Hong Kong a few times, I know that this is just how food's made there; turns out the owners are from Hong Kong and it shows! The ingredients are always fresh and plentiful. We don't dine in as much, but if we do the smorgasbord buffet is great value. For obvious reasons it's not up and running right now, but if you order in, be prepared to take a lot of food home!
