Tried the otentink with the kids and it was amazing. The perfect mix of roughing it and being pampered. The wood stove was amazing on a few cool wintery nights and the park staff prepped the fire for us with everything we needed (I'm a bit of a novice). The space is surprisingly roomy with plenty of sleeping space. Really is a perfect place. Only concern was that we were told there was some power and water near the site but there wasn't any, but we were able to plan around it.

A beautiful wild area. Hiking and photography. A inclosed building with wood stoves to cook on or keep warm after cross country skiing

Beautiful place. Will come back next time to watch sunrise of sunset~~~ There is also a trail (around 9km) around the lake, will try it next time :)

Had an awesome adventure cross country skiing here, amazing snow. Took about 1 and a half hours to do but would do again in a heartbeat :)

Nice quiet campground with a self serve reservation system so you can choose a pitch you like before paying. The washrooms are in poor condition but other than that a great place to stay

We stopped here in early January, and the trail going around moon lake was well blazed from snowshoeing. Very cozy feel. Me and my partner cross country skied it, it took about 1.5 hours (9.2 kms). Some steep hills we walked down and up. We went into dark and it was safe to keep following. Beautiful and wonderful skiing!

Stayed here while on a motorcycle trip in early spring. What an awesome camp night! Scenery was great! If ur coming in cooler temperatures be sure to have a good sleeping bag as evening did dip to 0C, but again was early spring

Stayed in Otentik #2 in mid October. No running water at this time, no flush toilets, only a clean biffy, and small solar panel for the Otentik light and usb port. We brought a battery bank to charge our electronics. Woodstove was awesome and free firewood is close by. We used the woodstove to heat water. No food/eating inside the Otentik. You could hear traffic a bit however it was still very peaceful and you're very close to Moon Lake. I hiked the Moon Lake trail, and it was well marked and a moderate hike as there were elevation changes. Wonderful place to get away. It would be amazing in Winter.
