This place is definitely a little hole in the wall. We went once when they had just opened and had all you can eat Korean BBQ. We recently went back this past week and we're quite impressed. The quality of the meat here was quite good relative to other Korean BBQ places. The combos are a great bang for your buck. We will likely be back here!

Moon Korean BBQ is a Korean restaurant located within Chinatown. They serve Korean styled dishes such as BBQ, hotpot, seafood pancake and much more. They have sets for groups of people and single portions for individuals. To be clear, Moon Korean BBQ does not offer all you can eat Korean barbecue like many other places. However, this should not be an issue. Moon Korean BBQ has one of the largest menu selections for a Korean restaurant within Calgary. This means that even if you have had this place once there are so many new things to try. While the menu can be a little daunting Moon Korean BBQ offers dinner sets. The dinner sets allow you to try a diverse amount of their cuisine. The dinner sets can serve multiple people depending on which one is ordered. Food that can included in a dinner set is Korean barbecue, hotpot, seafood pancake, sushi rice and many more side dishes. The food was incredible. As stated earlier, this place does not provide all you can eat. However, the quality of their meat is delicious. Unlike all you can eat, Moon Korean BBQ serves high-quality cuts of meat. Allowing for a more delicious experience. The seafood pancake was a little bland. The hotpot was great but felt a little small. The soup in the hot pot was delicious and the meat was well prepared to fall right off the bone. The side dishes (Kim Chi, glass noodles and lettuce) were all fresh and well prepared. Nothing was expired or going sour. Aside from food, Moon Korean BBQ has a great selection of drinks. This ranges from alcohol to non-alcoholic. Most Korean restaurants provide the basic drinks such as soju. However, Moon Korean BBQ has a larger drink menu. I definitely recommend trying the soju cocktails. They also have many fruity drink mixes for minors. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They can even help with food recommendations if an individual feels overwhelmed. The price for the food is reasonable and the portions were much larger then expected. That being said, it will not be much cheaper than all you can eat, if you choose to eat Korean barbecue here. Overall, Moon Korean BBQ is a great place to dine. Serving great quality food for a reasonable price. The sets provide a lot of variety, so the food won't feel bland. If you like Korean barbecue, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

NO MORE AYCE Bbq. We were hoping we could do All you can eat but not anymore. We had Moon special instead. Plenty of food for $21. Beef Bulgogi is amazing!!! Service was kind but not around much. Onion salad is my go to.

Would return. Highly recommend. Classic korean joint but with set combos of all of the best things they offer. The cold noodle/naengmyeon is fantastic, fresh and spicy. The noodles have that chew and the sauce is sweet and spicy. I wish they included a bit more beef and pickles. Their salad dressing is absolutely delicious - super tangy and fresh. Fried chicken was perfect - it was clearly freshly fried being super crispy and crunchy, whilst retaining all the moisture. Ribs are par, with a nice smoke from the grill, tho the portion is not super large in the combo, approx 5 bones worth. Overall, with kpop in the background, nice private dining thanks to the walls - I highly recommend this place.

For the price I was expecting a more upscale restaurant atmosphere but after trying the cuts they provide it’s hard to beat. Was just in Calgary for a day trip and am very glad I got to stop here, the bbq really was one of the best Korean bbq I’ve had yet.

Moon Combo A ton of food! Great presentation with simple elegant flavours. The sushi rice on the side was a nice touch.Β  I really enjoyed the large assortment of sides with the BBQ dish. There was so much food we didn't even get to the pork bone hot pot. Had to take it to go.

This is a great hidden gem, we didn't have to wait here, got in showed our vacation certi. And one to the menu. For Gogi lover this is paradise. We took seafood pancake and bulgogi in two variations. The food is amazing and the Banchan is great. Hoping they get fish cake and anchovies as well. The staff is great and will help you with selection for those not sure about ordering. Will love to go back here.
