About Montessori Early Learning Centre (MELC)
Here at MELC we are passionate about two things: children and Montessori! We love what we do and so do our children and families. Our objective is to provide Calgary parents the unique opportunity to combine the benefits of a quality preschool & kindergarten program with extended care, if needed.
The Montessori Method is a holistic child-centric educational model, based on natural human development. Every child is unique and special and our priority is to help them reach their fullest potential. Our program is set in a beautiful prepared environment and taught by certified Montessori teachers. We have taken great care to ensure our facilities and programming stay true to the Montessori philosophy and follow internationally recognized Montessori standards in everything we do.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Called for a tour for my little one confirmed for 530pm Tuesday because they want all the kids gone to make the tour easier. I got a reminder call earlier in the day. When the time came followed google but went to a residential house. Called them 3 times no answer. Manually enter address finally find this place in a corner in the back of a strip mall. Was 15 mins late no lights no calls answered. My little one cries and cries. Very stressful looking for this place and having your son cries and it’s 1200$ a month it is worth it?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My child attended this wonderful facility for a year and a half and I have no words to express how much she has evolved and developed. The calm and nurturing atmosphere, the encouragement and support she has received during every task or activity she was pursuing helped her gain confidence and allowed her to gain vital skills that will help her in the future. The staff is very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. Even through we went through unprecedented challenges (COVID Pandemic) when my daughter was at MELC, I knew she is safe and well protected due to all the measures that were put in place.
I recommend this school 150% and I hope it will be around for a long time to the benefit of many children. Thank you MELC!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our daughter started the program in the fall of 2020. From day 1 we have noticed the difference in her attitude towards learning and how much calmer she has been.
We were worried about the COVID restrictions hampering her experience because we initially changed daycare/schools because of MELC programs. Yes programs had to be modified but she still got an incredible experience. Half way through the year she was learning to read. She surprised me with the incredible art work, written work and stories of her daily learning! The concerts and exhibitions that MELC had during the year was so heart warming to see. We are so happy with the incredible progress that our daughter had MELC.
The staff and students have always been very kind and calm. They are welcoming and encouraging children’s independence. We thank MELC for all they have done during this very uncertain year. We would recommend this school to any of our family and friends.

But the team at MELC have been so incredibly amazing. Within a matter of weeks he was excited and talking again. He has made some beautiful new friends, and is learning new things everyday. Best decision we have made for our son. Thank you team MELC you are invaluable to our family.

The staff has been so great with my child transforming him from a very nervous kid to a confident one.
The first noticeable thing when you enter class is how organized, focused and happy all the kids are, they all love being there.
My son proudly teaches me new things every day! Imagine a 4 year old teaching you what an acute angle isosceles triangle is!!
The staff works with each and every child to build learning techniques that suit the child.
It is refreshing to see a Center that actually cares about the child rather than their fee.
During this pandemic they have done an incredible job in keeping up the safety protocols over all these months, I am grateful to the staff for keeping our kids safe while they soak up all the knowledge and fun

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hi parents, as a mother of 2, I very well know how important and crucial it is to find the right school for your kid and I have attended many tours around South East area of Calgary for a good school and I came across Montessori Early Learning Centre and I highly recommend it if you are looking for a caring,nurturing and a safe place for your child to grow and learn. This IS the place for your little one! As they say, the early years of a child is what would be the building blocks for their future development and this place surely ticks off all the checklists! We wouldn't have been more happier with such amazing teachers, support staff and his friends and my son has a great bond with all of them. He even asks why the school is not open on weekends as well, that's how much he enjoys going to school, lol! He enjoys going every single day and I can see a great improvement in his overall development, be it social,academic or arts. He enjoys nature more than ever before. They have a very professional and a caring approach and it's always child centred when it comes to teaching. I can go on and on to pen down how good they are and I cannot thank enough for the wonderful start Suryaaditya had in his education. I can't wait to enroll my 2nd child!

Our daughter has flourished here and we cannot say enough good things about this center. We are looking forward to our younger daughter being able to attend next year as well!
