★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When shopping for a new sofa I fell in love with the design of the Jane Sofa. I was a bit hesitant to spend this amount of money with some of the reviews I had read. I received my sofa and it was everything I had hoped for. The whole process went perfectly from the order, to the delivery and ultimately the product. 5 big stars!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been deeply disappointed with Montauk. A few months ago, I moved to Victoria from Toronto after retiring. I know, a bit of a cliche. I purchased a custom Montauk sofa in December to be delivered 12 weeks later, which I anticipated. I was very clear that I wanted a comfortable, sturdy couch that would also look modern and after a couple of visits to the showroom, selected the Stanley in a linen look fabric. I wanted quality and wanted to support a Canadian company.
The sofa arrived more or less when promised but sadly was not fully upholstered when it arrived and the poor delivery man was clearly unable to complete it. The Vancouver store came to the rescue and found a local upholsterer to fix it. Looks OK, but not awesome.
Subsequently, due to the size and weight of the base and back cushions, they have become misshapen and don't properly fill the cases and are so heavy, I can't pound them into shape. As a result, after about six weeks, the sofa looks awful and I can't imagine what it will look like in 5-10 years. For $9,000, I expected much more. Should have gone for a sofa from Crate and Barrel for half the price! Very disappointing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We wanted a quality sofa for my new home. We have been waiting five months. This is way longer then the original time frame that was promised. We still don't have a delivery date. communication is only one way, my husband contacting the store to get an update, they never call back, are rude and unapologetic. we were given the impression that there is only one truck available to make deliveries in the entire province. I would expect so much more when you spend $15k on a sofa. can't speak to the quality as I DON"T HAVE MY SOFA YET.
