★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Looking for a little adventure off the beaten path? Look no further. The lighthouse is a cute little gem to explore. It is located at the most westerly tip of the island in Meldrum Bay and has a quaint little campground located at the site as well. Just off the shore is a sunken ship...maybe if you look hard enough you might see it. Beautiful scenery. There is a little campstore where you can grab a bite of ice cream to put a nice end to your visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved this place. Would make a wonderful place to camp and swim. Would love to snorkel around the rocky cliffs in the lake provided that the lake was calm and wind was still. Water was pretty cold even in mid summer. There is apparently a historic shipwreck down the beach somewhere, like original fur trapping Europeans type historic. I would love to return and spend my time hiking to that location for the full experience. Apparently some survivors skeletons of that ship reck were found in a cave near by also. I need to hike to that cave too. This light house also was wonderful to climb into. It’s a far drive and there is no tim Horton’s near by so pack a lunch and water.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty remote, quite a drive but worth it! Amazing customer service, amazing views, amazing experience! Since the campground is mostly rock, this would be ideal for trailers spending two or more days (extended long weekend, really). They have ice and firewood, just make sure to bring a lot of food supplies. You'll be happy to know that they also have showers on site so you can prepare yourself for civilization once again.
