★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible campground with constant ATV traffic on a dusty set of streets. The campsites are packed in tightly with the majority having no trees. There was a burn ban in affect and the staff did not enforce it nor did they enforce quiet time,one of the worst campgrounds I've ever seen. The lake and cliffs are very beautiful though.I hope that the province puts a campground in the area one day as they are usually well thought out.
With all the money they are generating you would think that the least they could do is oil or use calcium chloride on all the roadways close to campers.
On the positive side,the young people that keep the place clean do a fantastic job as opposed to the administration that are "grown-ups" and appear to be miserable.
We had booked a two week stay but left after one week. We couldn't get out of there fast enough!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a beautiful place. Cottages ruined the nature experience along the beaches. Good example of how people have wrecked nature. There is a small path to view the cliffs and a fence blocking the trail. Dusty gravel rds to the quarry didn't bother. we are used to the other provincial park nature untouched beauty.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best beach in Manitoba! Only 2.5 or 3 hours from Winnipeg. Nice sand bottom and no seaweed, ITS WONDERFUL. There is a boat dock on the other side thats handy too......This place has lots of family cabins....Most have been in the family so long, they get passed down. Its a respected property!
MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF!!!!!! Its a perfect spot until people start being sloppy! About 20 k from hwy 6!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Park is nice. Water is nice. Camped for three nights. Quiet time at 11....never happened. No patrol at night. Parties till well past 1am. No cell service unless at store or restaurant. Bathrooms clean. Free showers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome camp ground. Very friendly staff. Campground was very busy but they did their very best to keep everything clean and neat. New shower building wasn’t going yet but old showers were good enough for us. Cell service only in certain spots which was good for getting away highly recommended for family vacations

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was great. The beach is more rocks than sand but the water was clear and fairly warm ( it was about 25 degrees) but I suggest going when is closer to 30. The food was really close which was great but we got chicken burgers and the Lettuce was wilted and it was Very basic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very friendly and helpful staff. There are modern washrooms and showers but no drinking water taps. The beach is nice, the cliffs are even more beautiful. However, the beach on the side that the cliffs are on is a little run down. Abandoned shacks and an open wire on the ground

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Steep Rock in general is beautiful, the cliffs are amazing, BUT we had to pay 10$ to park which is a total rip off and no information anywhere that you need to pay for parking. Total money grab.
However, my review is for the campground. Washrooms are modern but that was about the only good thing. Pets are not allowed anywhere besides the road and your campsite. Campsites are wide open with constant ATV traffic which was super annoying. There was no enforcement to their rules especially for quiet time, people set off fireworks and firecrackers at midnight and partied until 1-2 am. There was nothing to do, we were supposed to stay 4 nights, left 2 days early because there was nothing to do. For the money you pay it is DEFINITELY not worth it.
Parks Manitoba should take this over, they could make this place amazing and worth it
