About Mission Thrift Store

We convert donated goods into cash, and the net proceeds of all sales are sent to our joint ministry with Bible League Canada to fund international programs in over 40 countries worldwide.

Staff and volunteers believe there is a deeper purpose to everything in life, including shopping. We sell gently-used clothing and household items to value-conscious shoppers, who shop for deals they can feel good about.

Mission Thrift Store History

In the fall of 1988, two gentlemen from Chilliwack, BC joined the Bible League’s ministry tour to India. Throughout the tour they learned about the history, culture, religion and economic situation of the people there. They also visited new emerging Christian churches that were established as a result of the relationship between Bible League Canada and its Ministry partner. The trip left both men with a desire to help the people of India and on returning to Canada they became involved in discussions with the Director of Bible League Canada. They ultimately established a thrift store, donating the net revenue to Bible League Canada so Bibles could be distributed to the people of India. Since then, Mission Thrift Stores have grown to over 50 locations across the country.

BFM Foundation Canada

BFM Foundation Canada is a registered Canadian charity and is the bridge between Mission Thrift Store and Bible League Canada. It acts as a support centre for all Stores by providing business services and support, as well as manages capital projects to acquire, renovate and relocate stores.

Best Thrift store in Canada

Prices are better, the store is well kept, staff is super friendly which is always a bonus, and I always leave with exactly what I was looking for and more. Lots of good sales going on a lot of the time too! 50% off all clothing happens more often than not. Only negative is the parking lot. Super tight spaces and no room whatsoever. It’s a pain to park so I’d recommend street parking. However, this doesn’t change how I feel about the store itself, as it’s a great place to thrift. (:

I brought a top up to pay counter and it didn't have a tag. I asked what the price was and they literally told me I couldn't purchase it in case I was trying to steal it? Very frustrating.

I was waiting for a family member to get out of the washroom at Missions and low an behold there is a gorgeous electric green cross body bag for $15...$15.oo woo-hoo what a score. They also have volunteers who help fix broken electronics/furniture as much as they can. They are environmentally conscious and make sure everything that can be recycled is. Excellent organization.
