The reviews about the reception are hit and miss and I suppose it depends on who you get answering the other end. Today however I had the pleasure of speaking to a wonderful girl Michelle. From the beginning of the call to the end was a pleasant conversation and her humour sure was a pleasure and appreciated. I never felt rushed when asking questions about my elderly mother and even took the time to call me back with information when I didn’t even expect it!

if i could do -5/5 i could in a heartbeat. i have been a patient here for years as many of the other reviewers have and let me tell you this is the worst reception staff you'll ever meet. I have been trying to have my daily medication faxed to my pharmacy for over a month now. Receptionist said everything was emailed to me for blood work and my medication was faxed to where it needed to go, yet its been a month of me calling and not being able to get anyone except for a doctor that wasn't mine and the reception who has been throwing me to voicemail where i haven't been able to get any assistance from. The voicemail even says that they will not be calling you back if it's about a prescription or needing to make a doctors appointment. Apparently the staff "doesn't control faxing" as their machine has not been working then in months if that's the case. The doctors are great but their staff is the worst I've ever encountered. If you are looking for a new doctor look elsewhere for a staff that can treat you just as fairly as the doctors do.

I have a family member that uses Mission Oaks on a regular basis, time and time again i’ve seen this family member in tears because of the ineptitude of the reception staff and their inability to perform basic time management and patient care skills. The office manager seems to be one of the issues at this clinic as it appears she is also a part of the reception staff that is the root of the ineffectiveness. After a cursory read of the reviews it seems that not a lot of responsibility has been taken on part of the staff at Mission Oaks, and instead they choose ignorance of problematic staff members and ongoing issues or deflect the blame. If you’re working in healthcare, your position should always be to improve patient relations. People are coming to you with very serious problems in their life, do better. Edit: I assure you that as much you try to gaslight potential readers of this review, it is still valid and factual. The concerns have been brought up, they do not get addressed and that is evident in your reviews and conduct when confronted with issues.

I have been a patient at this clinic since I can remember, not only are the doctors phenomenal so is the staff! Especially Becca, she always goes above and beyond to help me with any problems I have little or big, she welcomes me and my family as if this clinic is part of our family. Which to me it is. I will forever be grateful for becca and the staff at mission oaks. Thank you for your long hours, dedication and patience. Some of us truly do appreciate your hard work and it doesn’t go unnoticed with us.

I just had the most discourteous conversation with the front receptionist. I ended the conversation and hung up the phone and am sitting here bewildered and trying to understand how the conversation got to where it did. I asked a simple question and in return got someone who raised their voice and continued to talk over me and wouldn’t let me respond. I will be contacting the manager next week as I was told there was an assistant manager there but I’ve spoken to her before and never had a return phone call to resolve the situation. I feel if you’re going to be in the profession where you deal with the public, do it with dignity not disgrace.

I have a chronic condition, and I have a Dr at this clinic, but can not see her , Seems the receptionist decides who gets an appointment and who doesn't, she said she would call me back that was 6 days ago , so I had to go to Emergency , which I have had to do before , because of the same thing CANT GET AN APPOINTMENT WITH MY DR. ( in office )Ridiculous to have to go to Emergency instead of my Dr. such a huge cost ,I need to see my Dr, my overalll health is declining , because of this

I’m very disappointed that this clinic is still only taking phone call visits. Two years later and Covid is still making it so doctors can’t work in person? I called after testing positive two weeks ago with Covid and concerns over a secondary infection. The reception continuously told me that I have to call back the next day to book a phone for Monday (4days later). I expressed that I really need to see a doctor today and she just repeated herself three times. With zero suggestion of what I should do. Trying to not clog up the hospitals I called local walk ins and urgent care. Both told me they were only taking their patients. So off the Abbotsford hospital I went. I was treated well there by the nurses and doctors despite being extremely busy. The ER doctor was amazing. As it turns out I had Covid Pneumonia. Had I waited I would have only got worse. Whatever is happening with the doctors and the clinics needs to stop. Covid is no longer a reason to not see your patients. I should also say up until this time Ive only ever had good experiences with this clinic and the receptionist.

The doctors are fine, there's such a shortage of family doctor's you can't be picky, but good luck trying to get an appointment! I get that Covid turned things on their heads, but of all places the family practitioner should have become more accessible, especially now that restrictions are lifting. They only have one point of contact, the single number, no voicemail, no email, and when their website says they're open... Nope, the message says they're closed (but it also tells you they are supposed to be open). Forget about the patient portal, there's no option to sign up for it! Not impressed, on hold with 811 for an hour now!
