S	Samantha Andrushchenko on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The selection of clothing at this store is fairly curated, but with all the vintage stores on the same street, it may be wise to stay away from this store due to the poor customer service. I came in this store today, and tried on one pair of jeans. There are 2 small changes rooms, and 1 of them was free. There were a number of people milling in front of the change rooms, so I asked every single person there whether they were waiting, since the 1 room was free for at least 20 seconds while I was assessing whether I should go in. 1 person answered directly no, she was not waiting, and everyone else was silent, so I went in to try the jeans. While I was in the change room, a sales clerk came by and announced loudly that "there was a line, so please get out right away." I was done any way, so I came out of the room and said, I asked everyone here and no one said anything, and this sales clerk said "WELL, I WAS THE PERSON WHO YOU SHOULD HAVE ASKED." What is with the attitude? First of all, you weren't near the change rooms, how would I have known to ask you? Second of all, what is the point of that sentence? I was already out of the change room, and I wasn't maliciously jumping the line. Are you just saying that because you feel like it gives your life meaning to have the last word? While the store contains the products that it advertises - vintage clothing - this isn't the only good vintage clothing store in Toronto, or even the only one on that street. Feel free to walk 3 more steps to the vintage store immediately next to this store, and you will have the same type of selections, but without the unnecessary attitude.

The shop is charming and curated so nicely; you can tell each vintage gem has been picked out with special care. I have purchased many many items from Sub Rosa over the years and most of my favourite unique clothing pieces are from this store. Love how its organized and the adorable hand-drawn signs on clothing racks, their staff is always so kind and helpful, and they play the best music too! If you are in Kensington Market Sub Rosa is a must stop! :-)

It’s very curated, therefore a bit pricey but you are paying for good quality vintage. Huge selection (especially jeans) and very well organized. The staff are super sweet and very helpful! 10/10 would recommend.
