Optics: the intent of the bistro design was spot on but I was seated facing an event room that was piled high with boxes and items not in use. I had to ask them to close the doors to maintain the Japanese Bistro feel of the place. A small thing I know but ....

The only snag is that their takeout containers are plastic if you are ordering out. If you are taking leftovers home from eating inside, they are environmentally friendly.

Every piece that they bring out is like a small piece of art. Absolutely thrilled will come back. :)

But enough is enough!! EAT THEIR OVERPRICED FOOD AT YOUR OWN RISK We just spent $70 on take-out dinner for two. It was truly and seriously below very bad. Chicken yakitori was recycled battered deep fried chicken on skewers swimming in a honey-like puddle. This was not fresh food. This was left overs being re-used to make a new dish. Unacceptable. Yakitori translates to Grilled chicken for crying out loud!!! SHAME ON YOU!! Mill Bay Sushi Their Korean fried rice with prawn was equally disgusting. The prawns where actually frozen mini shrimp. The fried rice had also corn and green peas from frozen. SHAME ON YOU!! Mill Bay Sushi Oct. 3, 2020 My family and I had eaten here a few times and also ordered for takeout several times. Out of those experiences we got what we expected. Good food, good service. Nothing remarkable but good overall. However, out last two experiences have definitely tarnished our perception of this place. The orders were prepared in a rush, not fully cooked and they arrived cold. Another dish was prepared absolutely differently than in our previous visits, they used beef instead of salmon. Without consulting or mentioning it when I picked the order up. We’re very disappointed, but it explains why we keep seeing less and less people eating here.

I took one bite and asked to do it again because it was not cooked. When I got my tempura, they didn’t throw it away in the kitchen, it was re-fried. This is a violation of food safety. Even now, even with COVID-19, it was very unpleasant to act like this However the manager or boss did not even apologize for the happen. Also, during we were eating, the food flies were sitting... How dirty can the food flies fly all the way to the guest hall, not the kitchen? We ate all of our food and paid for it, and we felt that the food here was too expensive for the quality. I don't recommend this place and I hope you don't eat tempura for a while until they change current oil. THE GOOGLE REVIEW PHOTOS LOOKS GOOD BUT REAL TASTE WAS NOT GOOD.
